Did anyone else notice that Huff didn't lead the team onto the field yesterday? He walked out on his own after the coin toss. Was he taking a crap or something? Maybe I'm wrong, but it looked like the troopers escorted him onto the sideline after the coin toss.

I've never seen a coach not lead their team onto the field before. The only time I've ever seen anything even remotely similar was when Donnie Jones was a chicken shi+ and came onto the court through a different tunnel than his team to avoid being booed and claimed it was because he knew that building well and just decided to come the other way.

Think about it though. It struck me as odd when he walked out with the troopers. Can you think of any other time that a coach didn't lead their team onto the field? Hell, Bill Snyder was leading Kansas State out of the tunnel on a walker when he was 150 years old.

This means nothing. Not a factor. But that being said I found it odd that the Bowling Green team was on the side of the field with the sun beating down on them. This goes against precedent.

I've never seen a coach not lead their team onto the field before. The only time I've ever seen anything even remotely similar was when Donnie Jones was a chicken shi+ and came onto the court through a different tunnel than his team to avoid being booed and claimed it was because he knew that building well and just decided to come the other way.

He was probably back in the locker room doing a zoom interview for a new job.  That's how detached he has seemed since losing to Bowling Green.

He is another learn on the job coach.  Difference between him and doc are minimal.  He talks a great game but can not walk the walk.  I've seen enough, it's time for mu to start a new search and bring home a lower division coach that has experience in building a championship culture and team.

I question if it is worth buying out coach Huff-N-Puff this early in the contract.

YES!  Apathy is real and has already hit MU hard from the previous tenures.  They have to strike while there is still some interest from us switching conferences.   Huff was a huge mistake and I hate that because I like the heck out of him. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he wins out, but this team is a failure and I don't care they beat an average fbs team that was overrated. If I am the AD I go to him and say listen,  you got to put up or shut up.  You have the rest of the season to show me progress or we are going to go a different direction.  Huff should understand how it works, he is always looking for something better.  So we should also always look for something better.

We always heard about how Doc lost the team, maybe Huff has as well. I was willing to stick with him for a while but something doesn?t seem right. Fire him after the season, pay his buyout and get a coach with actual HC experience. We got lucky with Donnan and Pruett; at that time we could. Snides, Doc and now Huff are proving we screwed up.


Hell, get an HC from FCS that has an experienced staff.

Personally I think football has seen its glory days. We haven?t done anything except one year in the last 18. And now we are going into a much better conference with teams that are spending more than what our opponents in CUSA did. JMU is legit and spending money to get better. App St is serious about their program. Coastal has been in the rise. ODU is in a hotbed and will now get better in this league. GS just beat Nebraska and has tradition. We aren?t just trying to beat one team in the east WKU but about 5 teams in the SB east. Going to the SB is exciting but I think we left our glory days back in the 90s.

We were at the game.  The team not in the coin toss did not come out until after the coin toss.  They were behind Huff, must not have shown on TV.

I still don?t think losing the Oline coach was a big deal. We are just getting beat man against man. Oline coach has zero to do with that. Our rt tackle just hasn?t touched his man for 2 weeks and he isn?t the only one. Now if they were missing schemes and stuff would be a possible problem. But tell me how that line coach makes our guys legs quicker lol. And it?s not like those guys forgot everything they were taught and nobody is coaching them now. Norfolk was trash and we called a much better offense game at ND. BG hit on something and Troy watched film and figured out pressure was something the OLine couldn?t handle. We are exposed!!
