  • Pete Fiutak of the College Football News has ranked each of the 41 bowl games.  I'm actually surprised the MBB would rank this high.  Here is what he has to say: " Who?s going to be happier to play in a bowl game against these two?  Marshall used to be a given, but it hasn?t won a bowl game since 2018. UConn hasn?t done anything in years but got here with a great ground game and tough defense over the second half of the season. It might not be the most scintillating matchup, but these two will try and push for a full four quarters."

I'm not sure the meaning of the sentence:  "Who's going to be happier to play in a bowl game against these two?"  Can somebody help me understand what Mr. Fiutak is saying with the question he poses?  I just can't make sense of it.

  • After about bowl #15 they are all trash anyway. It used to mean something back in the day when you could remember the names of the bowls, Cotton, Sugar, Rose, Gator even the Independence Bowl but after about bowl 15 it just became really stupid and laughable. 6-6 and 5-7 teams going to bowls is crazy. Why not add 1 more team to FBS to make it 132 and have 66 bowls? There are already 43 bowls which account for 86 of the 131 teams. Let's just give them all a trophy.

  • I like the modern bowl system. I went to a traditional blue blood in the state I grew up in that went bowling somewhere most years under the old system but it left a lot of schools out.

Yeah, there's a lot of them now and I don't think 5-7 Rice should get invite but I still keep ESPN on for the last couple of weeks in December. They're fun, low stakes exhibition games with teams that rarely play each other and a chance for players that bust their humps all season to get a vacation.

Plus, I just get out of all the trick plays, reverses, laterals on kick returns, and the kind of stuff we don't get to see much of during the regular season.

Doesn't matter what season it is, but when I think of MB, I think of the Sun.  Be sure to freely apply your sunscreen, BC, before the game!!  ;D

  • Well the fit cast has changed a bit. It was suppose to be 38* with rain/snow mix.

Now it's up to high of 43* (low of 30) for the day and partly sunny.

Rain and snow moved back a day to Tuesday into Wednesday.

    Beach weather for sure!
    Don't forget your bathing suit!!

All joking aside, we were going to try to make the trip, and take some days off of work, but we already had a vacation to NYC planned for this coming week, so it would be back to back trips.

I'll end up turning the game on at work and catching what I can.

Monday after is just an awful time slot. We'll have the lowest viewership rating of the bowl season, save the game that's on Barstool internet or whatever it is. Just dreadful that's even a thing.

  • Cloudy, low fifties, no chance or rain (actually 20% chance) for Monday, 12/19. To me, this is prime football weather.

  • We may see a decent crowd for this game. There are still seats left, but it looks like the entire lower sections are sold out.

I am an hour away in Wilmington and the highest chance of rain for Sat thru Mon is ten percent , it really is looking promising.
