Another double-digit win, wasn't pretty, especially in the 2nd half.  We'll take it.  On to "Moon Township"!

Pretty simple, they got big, physical and the official's allowed it. You can tell it rattled Handlocton (sp?) a little, but that is a good thing. He will learn from this and adjust, the kid is going to be special.

He had 16 rebounds. I'm more concerned about OAK getting tough.

Here is what was impressive to me. We got pounded on the boards and still won by 11 on the road. If we just match their rebounds we are never challenged and win by 20.

Nice win!  Defense turned Duquesne over 17 times.  A lot of that lead to easy points.  51 to 41 Marshall w/ -10 rebounding.  Still i thought they scrapped on the boards.  That team is going to win some games.

Nice win.  Very composed down the stretch.  Kinsey is playing like a leader.

Nice win for the Herd.  Marshall was 59th in the NET rankings and Duquesne 101st coming into this game.  Chuckle at Louisville who is 360th out of 363.

Coaches get too much blame and too much credit.  The players are playing harder and smarter and better this season.  Pretty sure Dan's coaching/messaging hasn't changed much.  Kudos to the players for buying in.

We were a one dimensional team, we lived and died by the 3 last year..This year we're winning with great defense and scoring points in the paint when the 3's start lacking like they did in the second half. I think we had only 1 or 2, 3 pointers in the half, but made up for it in other areas..

What I liked about this game is we came out and played them toe to toe, then had a four minute stretch of beautiful basketball. In the second half, like most good teams do, they made a comeback, but we didn't fold, or crumble to a more physical team.

This was a good win. If we can stay healthy I think it will be a four team race for the championship.

Foul shooting & missed easy bunnies were more of an issue in this game.
A lot of the Dukes' 2nd & 3rd chances were very difficult looks. With Handlogden & OAK or Connor, the 2nd chances are heavily contested.

It's who is playing and where they are playing. I give Danny a lot of credit this year for going with a firm 7-8 man rotation. Last year he muffed on his roster and kept searching for a combination when there wasn't one. Now Kinsey is back to the 3. We have a very heady player and assassin at the 2. Taylor is playing like we always imagined. And the 3 freshman with their length and quickness closing out and keeping good D position is making us a very quick and long defensive team. This team can be scary good by the end of the year if they stay healthy.

That win was all about defense. Duquesne got  23 offensive rebounds but only managed to hit 13 2-point buckets. We forced 17 turnovers.  11 point road win and we didn?t shoot well.
