JJ is a great kid from a great family. Both of his parents are Marshall alumni, his dad is a pastor in Nitro and his Uncle Brad played for Marshall a few years ago. He would be a great get.

We offered an 8th grade QB that won a varsity state championship in Alabama this season. Forget his name but he is somehow tied to the Tua family. Forget his name because I may not even be alive by the time he graduates, but it?s an odd story. He?s from the Midwest and has been homeschooled. Family moves to Alabama and enrolls him in some HS football powerhouse. He looks to have similar Samoa features as Tua so I?m assuming the family?s may have some history.  So far Maryland and Troy have also offered.

I hate it when the local kids go away, only to realize they aren't the big dogs anymore. Obviously the Wright kid at UT has done very well, so there are exceptions.
Or they could play at Marshall and have a great career like Owen Porter or Logan Osburn. The Payne kids look to be very good early on.

Hopefully Roberts will come home.

The Herds secondary is better than the one Roberts last played in.  Herd is an upgrade.
