  • 1. This was the worst we have played all season, by far. Robert Morris had no business being within 30 points of us. Most disappointing win this season.

    2. I don't have much else to say tonight. Our defense was stellar for 25-30 minutes tonight. Abysmal the rest of the game, and our offense was not good. Refs were awful tonight, yes, but we have to do better. 20+ turnovers is never a good thing. This was a disappointing performance, we have to be much better. Give dan and the team credit for us being able to be disappointed in a win, this year, as our expectations become higher again.

Hopefully we get it back in track before the next one, particularly on offense.

9-1, just gotta focus and the sky is the limit for this team. One more roadie and we need to fill the cam for these guys

Not if we play like tonight lol. That was an offensive dumpster fire. This team wasn't focused at all tonight. Danny has to have them ready next 2 games to win.

I agree with you. It was like the team thought well we are 8-1?no way Robert Morris will compete.  Played sloppy and just didn?t seem to care much but we did get the win. Better regroup and be ready for the next two like you said. DD has to find more of a bench. Our guys legs will be dead by end of January if not sooner.

Mckey would have fit in nice with this team. He is better than Toussaint. I still think Early needs to play 6-8 minutes to give Taylor and Curfman more of a rest. Like you said they are going to be toast later on.

  • We only got 3 points tonight from the bench. That has to change soon! The basketball season is long, and you have to give starters some breathers or you will have some dead legs in February.

I'll take the win any day of the week. But Taylor continually playing 39-40 minutes a game is a big concern to me. I have no other complaints.

  • These guys aren't going to melt away during the season. But where that will make a big difference is the sunbelt tourney. Ncaa gives you a rest day at least too, but sunbelt tourney won't. We won't win it unless we are smart with subs. Even in their early 20s, can't have taylor, and kinsey playing 39-40 minutes 3 nights in a row and expect their performance to not drop off.

  • UNCG is going to be a tough one to get. They last played at #9 Arkansas on Tuesday and don't play again until we play them on Tuesday. They will have a full week to rest and get ready at home. We will be playing our third game on the road while they have been resting. And they took Arkansas to the end before falling by 7.

We'll blow them off the court if we play reasonably well. If we play like we did tonight, we might lose.

I sure hope we do but they are better than RM. only bright spot tonight was the defense for first 30 minutes. Everything else was just plain awful and there is no used to sugarcoat it. Sloppiest game I have ever seen. I thought team wasn't focused and Danny never seemed in to it or concerned on the sideline. Hopefully they got it out of their system but they have got to find a way to get Oak tougher and need to get more open looks for Curfman. And they need to move and swing the ball. When they start dribble dribble hero ball the offense becomes awful. Go Herd!!!

  • The way I look at it, we played pretty bad tonight and still got a 9 point win which was never in doubt on the road.

Yes, we didn't play a great team, but we lose this one in years past.

Nice to knew we can win without playing well.

If the season goes as the first 10 have, poor outings will be few and far between.

Hope so, because tonight was hard to watch.

  • we have enough decent and smart players that we're basically getting production beyond the first 5 or 6 for, maybe, the first time in Danny's tenure.  yet, we seem to be playing only/mostly just 7 or 8.  refreshing!

  • Pretty much agree with what's been said.  We played lousy but still managed to win and the game was never really in doubt.  The reality is that you're going to have crappy games during the season and the key is to pull out a win even when you don't play well.  We managed to do that tonight.  Hopefully we'll play better the next time out.

We have to become more consistant. We play like we did the last 10 minutes of first half against Duquesne and we win the SB. We play like we did tonight and we finish in 7-8 place. We keep forgetting to move the ball at times and become stagnant and one on one. When we move the ball and are focused we are good.

I agree with most, but we'd still be top 5 in the belt playing like we did tonight. There isn't many good teams, and USM and Louisiana, we'll see, remember we beat Louisiana even in the dismal season we had last year lol. I can't wait to see this team play again and that wasn't the way i felt last year

Your point about DD not being in to it or concerned is something I noticed too. I hate that   What worries me is we all know he has made comments about the OOC games not mattering or whatever exactly he said. That is the worst way to look at things especially when our conference needs to improve even if beating up in bad teams.to increases our profile we need to do what we have been doing and carry it over into the season.

I have no idea how good we really are but what you can see is a much better defensive effort and offense can make shots.  We just have to cut out the sloppiness or the 5 or 6 minutes we seemed to forget we are playing basketball. The next game is another good opportunity at a decent test on the road.  They have lost some games I am surprised they lost but it is a road game after only a two day break.  Time to get focused and move on and forget about how bad we played against RM. we played bad angaindt a bad team and still won on the road.   That would not have happened last year.

  • Not sure if it was just me but Taylor seemed to be trying to get ?his? last night.  The 2nd half is the worst I have seen him look.  Bad shots and bad passes.

  • We're simply not going to beat a good to great team without Taylors A/B game. Everyone can have an off night, but Taylor is such a great player his off night is many guards best. He'll be fine, and Kinsey is at his best, and was last night, so that helped.

Defensively I would put them with the 71-72 team
