Outlier again, I guess. I thought that the team did quite well in what became a very chaotic game, a lot of interruption from the refs, a different set of substitutions (pattern was different), and against a team playing at home for the first time in a couple weeks.
We got as sloppy as the game itself, and I've seen that happen many times a year with DD teams. I always felt that we were in total control, and that we could have added 10 more with a reshaping of the offense in the last 9 minutes; we apparently chose not to.
I've decided that DD likes to test the water at times when he thinks he has the game won; and we know that playing the youngest of the young backfired at the end against Queens. But that decision probably has won us two or three extra games this year. I'm confident that whatever he initiated, or allowed, last night will do the same down the stretch.
But I must also admit I had to watch the game "on demand", so perhaps if I'd seen it in real time I'd have a different opinion.
