Point God!! Unfortunately for us our PG is our second best shot maker / creator. I have no issue with 19 shots, but when he is struggling I wish he'd facilitate more. Say he took 12 shots a game where would his other 7 go? To Curfman to jack up 7 more threes? We do not have another proven shooter so AT taking more shots than a typical point guard is something we need to get used to.
he's not a typical point guard and we don't run a typical offense.
as long as DD has been here we've pretty much recruited and used combo guards as our PG. Elmore was primarily recruited as a 2 out of HS, he was our point guard while West basically guarded the other team PG. West, other than being short, was more of a two and that's what he played until Elmore left. Browning, CJ, Andy, Curfman are all really twos or combo guards that we let handle the ball. DD just typically has one of the combo guards be our primary ball handler, that was Elmore and now Andy. and lastly, the offense runs through Andy, he should have a lot of statistics...shots, assists, turnovers ....
But, I do agree we need to not wear Andy out and if that's Early getting some more minutes or Conner getting more guard or point forward minutes while he rests then so be it.
