. . . VA Tech added two key players to their football offense for the 2023 season.  The Hokies who come to Huntington this fall, added a former 4-star QB, Kyron Drones, to the squad for 2023.  Drones appeared in about 5 games as a backup QB at Baylor in 2022 and is expected to compete with former MU QB Grant Wells at the QB position next season.  The Hokies also landed Ali Jennings, a big wide receiver who gained over 2000 yards in pass receiving at Old Dominion the past 2 seasons in Norfolk.  Jennings was a first team all SBC performer at wide receiver in 2022 at ODU when he caught 9 TD passes and gained over 950 yards through the air.

Tech HC Pry indicated he expected a competitive situation at QB for Tech in 2023 and anybody who doesn't expect any competition, including the QB, shouldn't be at Tech.

Some interesting background surrounding the Tech program that HERD fans may want to follow in anticipation of the ACC's Hokies appearance at the JOAN next fall!!
