  • For some reason this makes me recall Barry Goldwater in the early 60's saying we should saw off the eastern seaboard and kick it out to sea.

  • If Game of Thrones taught us anything, it's that kings in the north don't fare too well when traveling south.

No they won't.  I went and watched here and there from some of their games.  They are exploitable on the d-line and they can't stop the run.  Laborn and Ali should run all over them.

  • Typical comments from some, already counting it as a blowout win. The same one, if we lose will be calling for Huff?s head on the tarmac.

Why not and why wouldnt we? it's time for Marshall to get back to being Marshall. We don't need to pretend someone is better than what they are at this time of the year to avoid that other outcome. I miss 1-AA and early MAC us. We are better than you and you know it kinda feeling. That's what your Bamas, OSUs basically any winner is. That's part of the aura they bring. UCONN is an average at best football team who played a weak schedule.

Syracuse beat them 48-14. With a QB we are better than Syracuse. I think we have figured out how to manage our QB so why wouldn't 42-14 or so be the thought. And then with those expectations does come the questioning of coach if you fail. Both are good things. Expectation of success is good.

I tend to agree. They are putting a boatload of emphasis on this game and will be pulling out all the stops. On paper we are much better but as we know from last decade or so, that doesn't mean squat. We better be focused and play well or it could be 4 straight bowl losses.

  • UCONN is not that bad.  We should win, but it will not be easy.  Literally no game against a D-1 team this year has been easy for us.  False confidence.

I started watching their game with Utah State and got into it. Don't let the blowout losses fool you. Jim Mora is building something and I expect them to improve each year before he gets another P5 offer.

It ahould be a blowout win. Uconn is probably the worst 6-6 team in the damn country and we have the talent to beat Notre dame on this team. We should be far better than 8-4 this season. Start expecting more than possibly not beating a TERRIBLE UCONN team in a crappy bowl

  • Never under estimate your opponent. We might be walking down the road kicking a can and wondering what happened.

    Notre Dame?

Thinks dd does no wrong? Lmao. I'm objective witb Dantoni too, and the performance of the basketball team. Just like i was critical of the bad loss we just had, but basketball is a different animal. In cusa, it was 10 times as hard to be successful compared to football, in the sunbelt no less than a title almost every other year is underachieving IMO. I'm just not not so smart. And name one herd fan that wasn't over the moon after we beat Notre Dame, and I'll show you another idiot. Name one that wasn't skeptical and critical of Huff 3 weeks later and I'll show you another idiot. Learn to think critically, and you may learn to change your mind based on new information.

I'm more concerned about our o-line, they haven't exactly set the world on fire this season.
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "

Actually he does have eligibility to come back. That being said, he likely will not (And should not) come back considering his draft projection. Bowl game is likely his last.
