In all honesty, Coach D in scheduling this game did nothing more than what a lot of other D1 programs, particularly most/many Mid-Majors do. Check today's scoreboard which shows that from WV's Mountain East Conference, besides Glenville's loss to the HERD, Davis & Elkins lost by about 40 to North Florida, a 3-7 team, and Fairmont State lost by about 20 at 4-7 Bowling Green. Give Glenville credit for at least agreeing to play a pretty fair, thus far, HERD squad!
In post-game comments, Coach said he scheduled this game for about this time of the season, hoping to be able to give some significant PT to some players who have not been getting much of it thus far! He accomplished that today. Said he has let guys know that the determination of how much time they will get in games depends on WHAT they DO in PRACTICE and HOW they PERFORM when they DO GET INTO REAL GAMES!! by now, after more than a third of the regular season's play in the books, players should have a pretty good idea how much PT they should expect the rest of the season. As said, if PT is what they seek and really want, a handful should surely be contemplating "Movin On"!!
