More fans care about the portal and transfers than the early signing period now.

  • No there's no news because there's no news.

    1.  It's early signing period
    2.  Save for Max Yates' son, there isn't any one on our commitment list to get hyped about.

I think I am now 😀.  I guess it gives us a shot at higher profile dudes that gets the juices flowing

I'd say JJ Roberts is a boom. I kinda like the mystery going into tomorrow. Hopefully we have a big land or two.

  • Usually, I think MU, and other schools also, had a signing day "Central" set up, announcing when the schools received signed letters of intent, usually via FAXes, I believe, from either previous verbal commits, or new commits.  Whether MU has anything like that tomorrow is unknown, given the logistics of travel, etc., following our Monday bowl game.  I imagine Coach Huff had several, or all, assistants leave immediately from Myrtle Beach, or perhaps in some cases, from Huntington when the team returned, to go out and contact recruits, etc., to finish up this phase of recruiting.  There is another signing period in early February, IIRC.

On a related matter, did anyone catch Coach Huff's interview with Paul Finebaum on the SEC Network this evening (5pm)?  It was a very positive overall interview, IMO, with Finebaum being complimentary of Coach Huff's tenure at MU so far.  And Coach Huff praised his staff and players for their accomplishments this season, and noted he has had great support in his tenure in trying to be successful in terms of winning bowls, championships, etc., from the MU Administration, particularly AD Spears and President Smith.

  • Herdzone has Signing Day central now up on the website.  Currently they only list three players who have signed so far.

    9:03 a.m.: Caleb Clark-Glover, DB, 5-11, 165, Springdale, Ohio, Cincinnati Princeton H.S.
    8:50 a.m.: Shawn Rouse, OL, 6-4, 260, Milton, W.Va., Cabell Midland H.S.
    7:27 a.m.: C.J. Davis, DB, 6-0, 175, Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger H.S.

  • Again, believe the timing of our bowl game may have thrown the staff in rounding up/signing recruits this signing period.  This is only the start of the process, which no doubt will run through the Spring and probably into early Summer.  Have faith that Coach Huff and staff will do ok overall, recruiting wise, for the 2023 season!

Actually, about half an hour ago, the number is up to about 8 signees, including a wide receiver, a D lineman, and a 6'5", 260# tight end!

Was questioning this and how this signing period has became difficult based on bowls. You don't know who will hit the portal or declare so you're just holding. I could see teams having issues or reservations over taking players.

Did you see his interview?  Said he would have come here out of high school but was never offered by the staff at the time.
