  • Unless he stumbles upon another Luka Doncic , the Euro experiment left with Rigot.

  • Goran played pretty well tonight. 7 boards, 2 blocks and a nice steal.  OAK was a beast at times.

  • One can only hope. They love of the Euros has been his biggest downfall as a coach imo.

WELL, One of the downfalls, you know . . . the use, or non-use of time-outs; lack or reluctance in the use of a Zone D in OBVIOUS situations; recruiting of transfers, Jucos, etc., etc.

Goran has earned and deserves minutes imo. Marko should just wear Street clothes cause he should never get off the bench.

  • App State was picked one place behind us in the pre-season polls.

We have five basketball players that are more and more having a feel for playing with each other. The chemistry is good. We have real good length. I just think as this season progresses that for a team to beat us that they are going to have to match up with all 5 of our players. D'Antoni's system this season has that ball moving better and touching all 5 players. Yes, some of these teams have 2 to 3 real good players, but Marshall's overall game with their 5 players looks real tough. Curfman is growing more and more with each game. The team defense has been impressive on most nights.

I am looking real forward to Saturday's game. The crowd looked better tonight.

What a joke you are. We beat App at by 26 that lost to Wake Forest by 1 and you still bitch.

  • Took app state to the woodshed with refs completely for app state, this might as well have been a road game, 18 fouls to 9. That's crazy for the home team. Proud to see the crowd tonight. Hopefully will have that atmosphere Saturday too.

We didn't play particularly well and won by 26. This is why i am excited to be in the sunbelt because this was a B- to C+ game, and we crushed them lol.

  • i was a little perplexed with the earliest substitutions since it was quite a bit different that OOC and i worried we were going to fall off more that we did.  however, i don't know what happens in practice, who might be improving.  anyway, it didn't matter in this one so i'll shut up.  Refs were bad, at least how i saw it.

  • Fricks was injured, Kinsey, OAK and Handlogden all had 2 first half fouls, that?s why we got to see Marlo in the first half.

  • Thought it was a good game for the Herd tonight.  Thought Obinna might have played his best game of the year, same for Curfman.  It seems as though they are meshing as a team and playing well together.  As mentioned in other posts, the defense seems to be the biggest difference this year.  Keep improving and it looks like we can have a good year.

  • The refs thought they were in Boone for some unknown reason.  The most one sided poorly called game I've ever seen period.  Our play wasn't bad considering all the players we had with 2 or more fouls by the 15 min mark of the 2nd half.

    I hope Fricks is ok.

I?m sick of hearing about practice. We have all seen enough from the games to know Marko should never be on the floor. One week of practice doesn?t change that.

The officiating crew wasn't good tonight, I agree with that.
However, the way Marshall aggressively defends this season is going to lead to us fouling more. That's the price you pay, but it's worth it.

That was absolutely Savage what Fricks attempted to do.  Love it

The substitution differences were all created by fouls and Fricks injury.  Handlotgen, Obinna, and Goran all got 2 fouls in the first half and Fricks took himself out of the game by that ridiculous dunk attempt.  Toussiant, I thought actually played well when he was forced to play.  I think Marko came in as a tall guard/small forward matchup and that's why he played instead of Early--that said, do you have to dribble it off your leg the first time you touch it???

I'd rather Fricks play under control & not get himself injured...while being called for a (rare good ref call) charge.

I think we played pretty well. Shot 52.4% from the field and 41.2 from three. Out-rebounded Appy by 25 (49-24) including a 14 offensive rebounds. We had 23 assists.  We did have more turnovers and our FT was 67.7%.  We placed 5 guys in double figures and another with 9 and our leading scorer only had 15.  This was all done while we were in foul trouble.  I would say we played pretty well.  Now we started out sloppy and not that great but then got it going and ran away with it.  Kinsey went out of the game with his 4th foul and we were up 9.  When he returned we were up by 16 or so.

If we can play like that all year we will do well.  We just can?t let our self lose a game and then get down on ourselves and cost another one or two straight.  We will have a stinker or two. We just need to limit those.

  • I rarely comment but here are my two cents. I think we have a team that can win the sunbelt conference. I?m not sure we have a player that can will us to a win in the ncaa tournament.

  • JMU Saturday should be fun. They like to run and gun and that fits us perfectly. It should be a wild one but I think we roll them also. This team is for real and will just keep getting better.

Pretty sure "conference officials" is FB not BB.  They suck for another reason

Isn't it mind blowing? The rotation is set and won't change unless injuries or foul trouble like tonight.
