All we, as fans, can do is support the team. I will be there Saturday cheering the team on. Maybe the short turnaround we leave the bad taste of a loss with them on Saturday. No player on this team can be happy about the last two games.

The blame for the poor free throw shooting falls on the players. They need to practice these outside of scheduled practices. They need to take pride in free throw shooting.

The only time you don't call a timeout in any of those 3 situations we had at the end, is if you have numbers on a break. Otherwise, you call the timeout and you settle everyone down. You explain the situation and you draw something up, so that these guys can play and not have to think. Because it's very clear, that thinking isn't something we do well. Our basketball IQ collectively and individually is AWFUL.

How many times have we heard Bob Bolen say Danny is a mastermind of designing plays. Well..... FKN show it!

I will remember exactly what I posted.. And we probably will, but it won't matter, because we will do enough of the junk we did tonight to end up a 6th or 7th seed in the SBC tourney unless we change something FAST!

This was such a Dan game. Slow start, storm back, make too many dumb mistakes to overcome the deficit. Way too many times under Dan I've been left thinking if only we didn't look like a rec league team for the first half, we would have won.

Yes, and Steve Cotton, read these stats and more to DD in the postgame interview, including that GA South had had very large advantage in "points in the paint"!!  Coach's D's response that he repeated, "That's not us. . . . . that's not us"!!

Well, excuse me Coach, but then who in HADES were those guys out there in the ugly black unis??  How in the the heck did they get to Huntington, Coach?  Aren't they the SAME GUYS YOU and YOUR STAFF recruited?  Same guys you and your staff are supposed to be COACHING at daily practices?  Maybe more intense time working with the team and less "yuk-yuk" interaction some of your favorite fan toadies in the stands at said practices.  Your team, your responsibility, don't look ANYWHERE else but in a mirror!

Lost to a bad team tonight?.fortunately no matter what happens between now and March doesn?t mean anything til get to Pensacola.
Unfortunately effort was poor tonight. Too many easy baskets close to the basket because of lack of effort on the defensive end. Beat off the dribble, slow help defense?..when nobody is in defensive stance except who?s guarding the ball that?s what happens.
Keep waiting for the staff to hold guys accountable but until that happens it?s tough to change?.starts in practice.
Now, fortunately come back home Saturday and hopefully can get well against another bad team in Coastal Carolina. Unfortunately last two games have taken a lot of the shine off the ESPN 2 game next week.

I hope you are right, but that doesn't justify what happen tonight. This was a BAD loss and it falls directly on the fact we were not prepared to play, can't do the little things (make FT's), and a coach who is too stubborn for his own good. And for the record I understand every team is going to have an off night (UNCG), run into an unexpected buzzsaw (Queens), or just play a better team that night (JMU). That was not the case tonight, what GA Southern did to us was pretty simple, use their better athletic guards to break us down and time after time get an easy layup, or dunk. Meanwhile we did almost NOTHING to adjust.

In end, I believe that the EAGLES large, vocal and rabid crowd of a MEC like 1009 was the deciding factor tonight!!  The din and explosive atmosphere in the GSU  Arena tonight just rattled our younger players, particularly, at key times during the game!!

We continue this pattern of playing a bad first half is going to make this season a long one. After we beat App State, I felt pretty good because we came out of the gate playing team ball and beat them pretty good. We can't rely on being a second half team and expect to win many games.

Like an earlier post when said defense accountability starts in practice so does free throw shooting.
Two things we don?t do much in practice?.1 being defensive accountability 2 being shooting free throws when we?re tired.
Always confusing to me when some coaches set aside time in practice to shoot free throws for 10 minutes or ?x? amount of free throws?.you do that before and after because how many times in a game does that happen?? Practice free throws after running 10 straight sprints up and down the court then go to the line and shoot 2 or 3?then get right back on the line and do 10 more sprints and then go back and shoot 2 or 3?.get a lot more out of doing that for 10-15 minutes when your legs are rubber and your sweating and breathing hard compared to just standing around shooting them or doing it while grabbing water.
This team has more talent than we?ve had in recent years?.but they have to be pushed to a point that none of them know they have. Until that happens, guys get too comfortable

Looks like a 4-5 place finish in a weaker league at this point. That weak OOC gave us false hope it appears. Come on staff and team, get it together, we can get back on track. Still a long season but this is not the way to start league play. Concerning. ugh.

Most on this board thought at the beginning of conference play there was no way NOT to finish in the top four and gain the double bye.  With these last two efforts that achievement is realistically in serious jeopardy.  I believe we can turn it around due to the shear giftedness of this team.  Only time will tell.
