Topic: Looking for two tickets for ODU game Saturday

If anyone has a couple tickets they can?t use or are looking to get rid of or sell, please message me. My wife and I are wanting to go but Herdzone is completely sold out.

If the tarps aren't causing us to lose sales, why is this happening.  We still have to heat and maintain the whole arena.

I would rather have 5500 packed than 5800 scattered all over the arena. Let the demand dictate removing the tarps. These fair weather fans need to start coming to games more regular and drive demand. When they can start filling up a section regularly of 600-700 then open up a section. Otherwise keep the tarps on.

Could they not remove the tarps in sections?  Then they could remove one section, sell tickets there until filled, then open additional sections as demand dictates.

Incident and accident coverage is always related to the facility and the risk it holds.  I'm not talking about heating the place.  But I doubt my concept is correct, was just a thought.  If we aren't using these areas, we shouldn't be paying risk insurance on them either.

Someone at Marshall should tell espn.com that the capacity has been reduced since the stats on Gamecast list the capacity as 9,048.  Hence the percentage filled is not based on the current capacity but on the 9,048 figure.

[/quote When we talk about attending games I can always tell those people who live in or close to Huntington and they often amuse me. They seem to think attending games poses no problem. Try driving nine hours each way to see a game and you may feel differently about seating arrangements, etc.

They also need to fill in the edge of the floor around the court with reducer strips. I saw a long time fan step on the edge and take a tumble during the last game.

But if a Saturday game is sold out on Wednesday, wouldn't that suggest you could sell at least another 600-700 tickets?

Sell out is a good problem to have.  Mr Spears was nimble on his feet with the Bruce Morris decision and reversal.  Lets see what he decides to do if demand continues to be strong.

There are several areas in the Cam that they could sell some limited "standing room only" tickets. Not sure they would do it but I think its a good idea.

I have no idea. Maybe or maybe 20-30? I think it's great to creat demand. Now maybe people will buy early and not wait till a few days before the game. Supply and demand creates a rush at the box office. Then maybe open up a section. I'm sure they know what they are doing. Then again, I know Spears doesn't like Herd Heaven not having hand rails. Maybe he just decided until they get that fixed it's off limits.

Besides, that is the price you pay when you only want to go when they are winning and really fun to watch.

There aren't rails for rhe majority of the upper chairbacks either. That's not it.

But there is the wall by the entrance upstairs at all the steps to hold onto.

Too much trouble to clean the bleacher seats once the game is over, so sorry, the tarps will stay put!
