That is two good wins. Jones always has ODU playing tough against us. Their guys hit some tough shots as did ours. Kinsey was pretty clutch when we needed a shot. I thought OAK brought some good stuff on the defensive end. He also rolled hard as hell on that one pocket pass from Curfman. He also had some nice transition buckets. Good to see him get going tonight (I know he still hurts us at the line). D'Antoni and staff really do a nice job on traps and full-court pressure. That isn't as easy to coach as one might think. I like how he brings Kinsey up top on that with OAK & Handlogten playing second level and making some things happen.

15-4 right now and 4-2 in conference is much better feeling than 365 days ago when we lost at home to Rice to drop to 0-4 in conference. I can't say enough about Taevion Kinsey this season. He is such a complete player.

Started using a better zone D and hitting more in transition on offense, taking the ODU, stuck in molasses pace, out of the game in the second half and giving them turnover nightmares.

Freshmen are going to be up and down. Micah did not have a good offensive game tonight but grabbed rebounds and played some decent defense. Jacob and Wyatt were also no shows on the offensive end. That's just the way it is going to be for them. OAK played better tonight. I told my wife at halftime that Tavion needed to take over the game and he did. Tough win. I expected what ODU brought tonight. A good tough win. We need some of those to help build confidence that we can play in tight games and pull out the win.
