  • Sunbelt Player of the week! That's even with Kinsey's huge 37 pt performance.

What a way to bounce back after the worst game he has had in years at Louisiana. Go Herd!

  • They have both been very good for us this year.  Hope Taylor comes back next year.  Sometimes his wild shots drive me crazy, but the one he made on the baseline in the game Saturday was a big shot for us.  Kinsey has been really good this year.  His game has moved several notches from last year.  Kudos to him!!

Right, Kinsey has stopped playing to try to impress the pro scouts and he is just playing his game.

I said all year last season that Kinsey needed more help offensively and needed to move back to his natural position. Picking up Curfman was huge in that regard because it allowed Kinsey to slide back to the 3 (most of the time at least) where he is much, much more efficient.

Yes, he has matured a lot as well. Making better decisions, and to Rockin's point, he has played far less hero ball.

Taylor also brought his game to another level. He is a special player. If you think about it, Dan has brought us 4 amazing players, which 2 top 5 and another top 10 in burks and Taylor is probably a top 10 as well when he is done. With all the greats we've had in the past, that's an accomplishment to be noted. And all 4 of those guys are all Herd.

  • I listened to Dan's show tonight. He said he would be recruiting Andrew the hardest.

I honestly feel that Andrew would not do better any where else than here. I just think Dan's system of play fits Andrew very well. I don't know if he is made to flourish as well as he does here. Dan's system opens the floor and lets players create. When the ball is in other teammate's hands, the ball doesn't stick. That ball moves and moves with a purpose. Players catch the ball most of the time while on the move. It allows for more players to create in a more open floor. I just think that style fits Andrew well.

One point, 24.  Looks like he is not only the SBC player of the week, but is the NATIONAL Player of the WeeK among ALL Mid-Major schools also!! Congrats to "Sheriff" Taylor as he certainly is deserving of any and all awards for his recent play, IMO!!

AT keeps that up and, who knows, he might even earn himself a complete road tour of Greater Huntington in the sidecar of Deputy Fife's WW1 Vintage Motorsickle!!

I completely agree. I think not only the style is perfect fit, but also the level. I think if he tried to jump up, he would not have the success he enjoys now.

  • Congrats to Taylor for being the SBC Player of the Week. I did some research on the other "award".

I have heard of the Conference Player of the Week and the AP National Player of the Week awards. I never heard of the award  that Taylor won and it is from an internet site. The website has over 15 "awards" mostly for mid major players and schools. "The website was founded by Joe Dwyer and Angela Lento and traces it history to 1995 as regional basketball newsletter. The collegeinsider.com domain was registered on June 13, 1997. The website apparently sponsors  a "play for pay" post season basketball tournament. I wonder if MU will be playing in their "pay for play" tournament?

Check out the link to see their awards.

Is there speculation that he?ll enter the portal? His best pro options are probably overseas.

That?s good news. I think his skill set is better than TK. Not his athleticism, but his basketball skills.

He is an unbelievable player. Unique in the entire country. Nobody can make the shots that Taylor makes, but him.

Andrew has put up almost 100 shots more than Kinsey and made 20 less. Kinsey is shooting 55% and Andrew 42%. And Kinsey has more assists and Andy is the PG.

And Kinsey has a better percentage. He just doesn't throw up as many.

That's an understatement. Are you going to suggest that Kinsey is a better 3 point shooter? Kinsey is a great player, but that doesn't take anything away from Taylor.

Jesus christ, just go away man. Name another player in this country that makes the circus shots that Taylor does? Nothing I said isn't a fact. He is unique. I didn't say he was the best in the country, i didn't say he was the best shot. But his game is unique. You're the clown that said he was better than Elmore as a freshman
