  • He mentioned that Marshall was interested.  Try not to pry with business interests.

  • Loveday will be in town this weekend

I believe adding Loveday would be a great get.  I could really get excited if we could nab Bancho!

  • Maybe Loveday will be the answer, we can only hope. The B12 is an excellent b'ball league with top notch talent.

  • Article on Metro News about the transfer from Indiana State mentioned the two high school signees from the fall signing period.  Have seen comments on here about the guard Nutter but never heard or read anything before about  the guard from Florida named Pruett.  Don't believe there was much media coverage about that player signing with MU as I recall.  Anyone have any info on him, type of player, point or off guard, etc., etc.??

Pruett doesn't look bad for a walk-on.  has a good looking outside shot.  if he's a go-get-er, it looks as if he has overall potential to earn a scholarship.

  • Chuck Landon is on it. He's reporting in his column Zack Loveday will work out at Marshall this afternoon with the team. Chuck thinks he would be a nice replacement for Micah.

  • Let's hope all this works out and the new additions can come in and make an impact immediately. They'll have to really.

Based off what? he's played a grand total of 142 minutes in 3 years and most of those were mop up or the crappy teams to start the year.

Not even sure he would be an upgrade over Goran haha

I haven't see Baylor play so the following is a wild guess. A quick look at the Baylor player statistics show that Baylor doesn't list any player at the center position. They seem to be a guard oriented offense with large mobile forwards. One player at 6-10 did average 13mpg and a lot of forwards at the 6-8 range were used. Maybe Loveday didn't fit in at Baylor guard oriented offense? It is surprising that Loveday had a lot of college offers and he didn't leave Baylor sooner and transfer to a school that used centers.

By the way, anyone remember Danny Hall the 6'10" UK transfer from Betsy Lane, KY playing at MU, he was a little slow but averaged in double figures in his two years at MU. I didn't realize that Danny committed suicide until I read the below link.

  • I think he would at least equal Micah's production. A school like Baylor doesn't recruit just anyone. But we still need another scorer. It seems like we are always one or two players from taking that next step.

Now bust, as you have said there's "more than one way to skin a cat".  Instead of a lot of offensive firepower. perhaps Danny's plan to WIN BIG this coming season is to really attack our opponents hard and often on the OTHER END of the floor!!  That is, with his kind of tough, tight, in-your-face Man to Man Defense that we have come to see so often and love at the CAM!!  You know, the kind of Defense that has Danny physically exploding and throwing a fit whenever a MU player let's his foe take the ball virtually unimpeded from out along the top of the key all the way to the basket with NO or very token defense/resistance.  We've all seen how Danny gets so emotionally riled up and so physically animated along the sidelines whenever that happens!!  He plans on such occurrences being VERY RARE this coming season!!!

  • Loveday was at the Cam today at 1pm .
He was no way nearly in good of shape of any of our players. Our guys looked they were ready to start the season.

Don't need him. Play small ball, get more guards. Don't know what the fascination is with having 10 of 13 guys over 6'9 when half cant play.
