  • Loveday was at the Cam today at 1pm .
He was no way nearly in good of shape of any of our players. Our guys looked they were ready to start the season.

He has Marco, Goran, Toussaint and Mckey still on the bench and Obinna, Conner and Fricks that plays and he is hell bent on another big. It tells me with that many bigs in one team that he made a bunch of mistakes. Yet he only has 2 guards that gets any playing time and both are seniors but he isn't even looking for help at those 2 spots. Incredible!!!

  • Don't need him. Play small ball, get more guards. Don't know what the fascination is with having 10 of 13 guys over 6'9 when half cant play.

Yeah, bust, but think how impressive our bench looks whenever the TV cameras pan along our sideline during the telecasts.  All that impressive height holding down the pines!  Gives Danny another opportunity to stand up and do his frequent and well-known cigar store wooden Indian impersonation, don't you know!!

Jury is still out on Mckey but the other 3 should be somewhere else.

Yep that is about 25% of the scholarships just watching the games and he knows it before the season even starts.

Has he improved his jumper. Because to play the style that Dantoni supposedly wants to play, it?s dependent on being able to make shots.Otherwise, like bust say?s, just another 6-9 nice young man taking up space on the bench.

Danny recruits these guys that doesn't even fit his style. But they fire away and Danny says we have to let them shoot to keep the other team honest. Remember when Obinna went 0-19 and then he made one and Danny said see what I mean, like 1-20 was a great thing. It would make sense to recruit players that fit your system.

  • I think Toussiant and McKey will become strong contributors to this team; when coached more intensively. I also think Goran will become more impactful next year, he showed could play this past year.

Wouldn't be surprised if they just settled for Nate Martin. Doesn't look like any difference makers coming on board. Really sad.

Martin bitch-slapped us twice last year - more the first meeting than the second.  I think he'd be fine.

No we won?t be fine. He didn?t bitch slap anyone else other than us.. Just another mediocre player that fits right in with the lower level recruits.

Well he had 10 points, 2 rebounds in one game and 16 points and 7 rebounds in the other game against MU which was way above his normal output. For last seasoned he averaged 4.5 points; 3.4 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 29 games with 26 starts. I wonder if  his "bitch-slapped us twice" was due to MU coaching or lack of; because he apparently didn't "bitch-slapped" to many other teams. Just saying.

I didn't do the math by removing the MU games from his total, but Tx State has him listed as averaging 8 pts, 5 rebounds and one block per game last year.  Your stats were from the previous year.  Not a whole lot off what Micah did for MU (Micah had slightly less ppg, but almost double rpg), but I would agree that Micah is a lot more intimidating around the rim than a 6' 8" guy.

I pulled the statisc from the TSTU website which I didn't realize they were not up to date. But averaging 8ppg and 4.8rpg are not impressive. Micah numbers were about the same, but apparently more P5 schools seem to be interested in him than Martin; you can't teach 7'. As we say, that was a reach.
