  • Do we have to go after a big now . There is no team speed out there. Going man on D gives you Curfman, Connor, and Taylor. Don?t know anything about the guy from Indiana State but it seems that he can hit the J in practice.Seems that Dantoni is going after guys that no one else wants. Some of these guys are so low on the Radar that I?m suprised that they are even considered low hanging fruit. Just bad recruiting all the way around.

  • This is what happens when there?s no desire to be successful.  It?s not Dan?s fault but I do blame the people who signs his checks.

  • This is trending towards an embarrassingly bad year. Nutter needs to be an immediate contributor and have to get something out of Braun.

I feel like we should?ve gone after Bryce Butler and Stan Smith over Nutter and the Indiana St kid.  I?m just trying to find their upside and i just don?t see it.  At least we still have an experienced bench full of bench players.

To make it a lot more "accurate", mubowhunter, make that a bench full of "average to mediocre" bench players!!

There better be some real surprises step up this year or it's not going to be pretty. And 24-25 is looking like the biggest train wreck yet.

Thats not the message here at all.Just want to see a better effort put forward. Even Dantoni himself said that he remembered a time when this was a Basketball school. And i remember that time as well. You think longtime fans are happy getting beat , or not even making their conference tournament at all.I?ve followed the good and the bad, but this team could be so much better.

Nope. It's Marshall is going to suck and sadly we have 3 more years of it.

Agree Scope. Danny's recruiting is almost comical at times. This program needs energy in the worst way. Very stagnant and getting more stagnant every year.

You completely derailed on your comment.  I see that the majority of us here are greatly concerned with Danny?s lack of ability to piece together a team with quality players.  We need a complete overhaul of the bench and bring in 2-3 quick guards along with an upgraded big man who can bang in the paint.  If it were any other coach then he would be worried about his job security.  Our current one is just on cruise control and the one?s who?ll suffer are Marshall University, donors and fans!  We deserve much better effort from our staff!

  • its just amazing that people ... who probably dont know the difference between a "match up zone defense" and a 'quadruple double" ... can sit behind a computer screen and spew all this venom against Danny ! I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND ! do you all really think that he wants to loose ? that he wants fans in the stands booing at him ! I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND !

  • What production are we going to get out of AT, Braun, Goran and Marco? Can 3 of those guys step up and give solid minutes. Is Nutter going to contribute? We need to replace 30-35 points per game.

Nothing personal it's just business. We haven't played in the semifinals of our conference tournaments since 2018. We want to get back to playing meaningful March games.

I don?t even know what your talking about. Of course we know what a match up zone is. Tou still need guys that are quick enough to make the switch. And I?m not sure how he feels about winning and losing at this point.

Nobody said he wanted to lose. But he is in over his head in todays recruiting world. He wasn't a good recruiter before the portal and even worse now. He doesn't coach in game days and the program needs a spark badly. Why are you taking up for someone that has been here 10 years and hasn't won a single regular season title is the real question. The question is don't you want better?

Agree that I don't think any real HERD fans believe that Danny wants to lose.  He's been invested, along with his brother and sister, overall in MU for too many years/decades to even suggest such a notion.  However, there is some obvious feeling among a broad segment of our fan base, that with his new contract extension, Danny hasn't shown any real urgency to his approach to his job, particularly in the area of RECRUITING!!  Rather, it appears that he is just content in "marking time on Marshall's dime"!!

Just like Stevie Browning did?. But then again, there are some on here who are clueless and think D2 is way beneath Marshall.

Lol so a bunch of goons can pile on about us recruiting D2 players? We have plenty of those on the roster, according to some, don't we?

I just wish half of you ass hats would go put in an application to help Dan coach, we'd be fine if we just had 1 or 2 of you on the staff
