I'd prefer green/white with black accents, if at all, but I also get that the players want black and I'm ok with that.

Yes because it is getting dumb at this point.  We all complained and wanted our kelly green back because it looks great and stands out.  Now almost all of MUs teams are wearing black as a dominate color and our venues are getting plastered in black

We are losing our identity.  It is good as an alternate but has become our main color.

It's fine to have that opinion. I just don't think it deserves its own thread in the 46th game of the season after doing the same thing during the entire basketball season.

Hey, the Herd Ladies just defeated a TOP 25 foe!!  A hallmark moment for HERD softball and a possible big factor in any possible chance for the team getting into post season play.  With that kind of momentous achievement, the girls could have been wearing their NUDE uniforms as far as I am concerned!!!

I thought about something that no one has mentioned but it happened before with Nike.  When we first signed with Nike years ago, that is what led to the dark green apparel because Nine didnt offer kelly green.

Do you think with our new deal that Spears made a deal with Nike that we would wear a lot of black because they own the black for several teams and the kelly would be special for Marshall?

Cost effective for Nike but we lose our identity.

The deal to go to Hunter Green wasn't Nike-based, it was promoted from within. It was a move to reduce the cost of products by moving to a most affordable and readily available (everyone uses it) color.  Nike has kelly green.

Nike did not have kelly green for apparel in mass.  We were going to be the only team in their stable that color.

We know....We know.  It was a fictitious comment.  Point is, ship sailed on black uniforms as soon as basketball season was over.  Black was far from the dominate color at the VT softball game.

I was just referring to his association to Marshall and  the number of Herd games this man has seen in the last 40+ years.  He is definitely not a fan of another university.
