Offers from everywhere!  Looks like a potential big time pick up.  Wish the offense was keeping up with the D in the portal.

  • I've lost count of how many P5 transfers we have gotten to this point. Coach Huff and staff are killing it in the portal right now. I believe we are in the mix for a couple P5 OL as well.

Whether it translates onto the field and wins remains to be seen, but you sure have to love how aggressive they have been in working the portal, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

  • It goes to show it's not totally about the money. Huff is bringing in 3-4* P5 players like crazy. It's called contacts and knowing how to recruit.

  • Looks like the defense should be bad ass again this season. Plus we have good running backs again.

Maybe we will be a more balanced offense or even run oriented who relies on our defense. I don?t care as long as we win.

Why not both? Building a program looks very different in the age of the portal and NIL. No team in the country will be filled with 4 year players you recruited from high school.

  • But but why would a P5 player want to come to little ole Marshall.  It?s not the school folks it?s the coach and their connections.  Football vs Basketball recruiting here is amazing.  One works their tail off recruiting one the other makes excuses.  Dans a nice guy but has painted himself into a corner.

  • Add another P5 transfer onto the board. This time an OL from TCU. I believe we are still in play for another OL from Mississippi State as well.

I love Randy's West Virginia accent. I have a frat brother (white) from Williamson and I can't tell the difference between them when they talk.  Being from Huntington, sometimes I wonder if I sound like Randy to the people of Florida where I currently live. LOL
