It seems like DD has some type of plan to free up a spot.
Word is we recently offered KevonMaryland Eastern Shore (D1) transfer Kevon Voyles updated his recruitment for @ThePortalReportHas taken visits to:UNCGArkansas StateHas also heard from:MarshallCoppin StateCSU BakersfieldBinghamtonSamfordSan Diego Statehttps://twitter.com/kvnglyfe_
He?s not going to do anything but sink the program
our competition for these kids he's talking to is a bunch of nobodys. we're looking at kids that weren't happy with their playing time at Binghampton, Samford, CSU Bakersfield...i don't find that encouraging.
Have you watched San Diego State play? They would destroy us.
All we can do is hope Voyles and Martin pan out. They have a lot of production to replace, not to mention Conner trying to take up the slack for Kinsey. A very tall order.
Voyles has committed. Unless someone leaves, our roster is set.
So the projected line up will be -Voyles - PGCurfman - SGConner - 3Martin - 4O'binna - 5?????

I know we?re out of scholarships right now, but I don?t think we?ve had our last addition this year.
I hope Volpes is a decent player, but he did play in the MEAC. The school he played for MDES had one guard on the second All MEAC team and one guard on the third all MEAC team, he is not listed. You have to factor in that the MEAC was ranked 29 out of 32 basketball conferences. If he looks good on his highlight films, remember the competition he is playing against. Just sayin. https://meacsports.com/news/2023/3/7/meac-announces-2022-23-mens-basketball-all-conference-honors.aspxhttp://sagarin.com/sports/cbsend.htm
You are undoubtedly right about the level of competition, but it should also be pointed out that Voyles missed a lot of games because of injury last year. He was the leading scorer (by avg) on his team.Something I found interesting is that he scored 257 points in 429 minutes played. That is a slightly better points per minute average (0.6) than Kinsey (0.58) and Taylor (0.56). This upcoming squad definitely needs an offensive threat to take some pressure off Curfman. The bigger concern is that he clearly does not appear to be a PG, his assist totals were pretty low.
