Looks like he has a good stroke.  At 6'9 that could create problems.

  • Per Vebal Commits, I don't know how accurate the site but it provides the names of schools that offered him. MU is not listed among the schools, so maybe Moe is a preferred walkon?

It appears his only other offer this year was from SIU Edwardsville, an OVC school. His high school senior year he had offers from SIUE; Donny Jones and Stetson; Robert Morris and Minnesota State.

  • The publishers at Herd Nations talked with Pete today and have updated his offer list for his profile.
    Good information regarding him.

For what it's worth....I heard the kid can play. Was a 2022 player and ranked the 11th best player in the state.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad because I don't follow Iowa hs bball.

  • Something doesn't add up. Why so few offers and no really good offers if he is so good? Or is there a problem is why they stayed away. Who knows but something isn't right.

  • Living in Iowa I can tell you there is talent here.  Most of the talent in the state last year was over shadowed by Omaha Billiew. He was like the #12 prospect in the country.  Already invited to play on the USA U19 team.

Iowa has 2 good Mid Major schools in Drake and U of Northern Iowa.  U of IAs Head Coach is a D!ck and most people do not like him.  IA States coach is good but they have plenary of Bigs and picked up that Billiew kid.

Not sure why he left unless it was to get away from home. Have not heard anything. Per an article I read they moved to Iowa City (home of the Hawkeyes) late 2020 or early 2021.  They moved from Indianapolis.  So Marshall would be closer to Indy.

It's called walk on and redshirting. Which begs the question? Why walk in at Marshall if you have all this talent that schools should be all over you? Or is there something else?

  • Like I've said before, I have no idea why we'd be recruiting a perfectly healthy kid to redshirt when the bench part of our rotation is D-II quality.

If he's D-I material & indeed "all that," then he'd be worth playing significant minutes THIS season. If he can't beat out Braun/Marko/toussant/etc for playing time, then what's he doing here?

And even if he has to walk on. He should be better than Pruett or Theineman right? So 15 can dress and you would think he would instead of those 2. Like I said, something doesn't pass the smell test. A guy with all this supposed talent wants to be at Marshall so bad that he will just walk on and redshirt instead of playing some where and get a full ride?

  • I don't believe he will be a red shirt.  The staff is keeping tight lips about this kid.  I believe we will see some additional roster reorganizing.  Moe is a really good get for MU.

If he's good enough he will play walk on or not...if he's not ready he will redshirt.  Seems simple.
