Nice job by MU officials to attract a top candidate to Huntington.

  • Good news at MU just keeps on "keepin on", IMO.  The completion of both the Smith Business facility AND the new Baseball Stadium are on the horizon.  Understand that the Cybersecurity facility along Hal Greer is to be underway in 2024.  In another year, year and a half, MU will have a lot of "new toys", etc., to offer perspective students.  And new programs, degrees, etc., continue to emerge in Marshall's medical/health sciences programs also.

Only drawback/concern that I really see is whether Huntington's efforts to upgrade the City's internet access to the needed high speed level that would allow MU to hopefully offer MORE on-line courses, degrees, etc., which are highly sought and desired here in the 21st Century.  The Mayor and others have talked about the internet access/improvements on numerous occasions the last two or three years, but it seems like REAL action is proceeding at a snail's pace.

Meanwhile, I'm sure that the City's needle exchange programs are clicking on ALL cylinders and are proceeding at a rapid, speedy pace, maybe even at "Ludicrous Speed"!!!
