I thought the team looked very sharp all the way through, albeit against an undermanned opponent. Passing was spot on and the defense was dominant, with very little drop-off when the subs came in.
One of the two goals from Aymane Sordo (transfer from Gardner-Webb) was video-game like -- I hope someone has a video clip of that to post. He can contribute this year, without a doubt.
One suggestion to the MU Athletic Dept. staff -- shorten the Sons of Marshall song that is played after each goal. It was entirely too long; the refs restarted play a couple of times before it was over. Maybe hearing it six times made it even more irritating, but I would think an abbreviated version would still be a proper celebration.
My overall impression of the team is a very optimistic one -- I'm anxious to see how they look against better competition.
