  • That was somethin. Hope Huff has some actual answers and not just talk.
Unfortunately that is all Huff is - TALK. I'm sick of it. It won't be so friendly down in East Carolina or at NC State.

  • What?s happened to the slant?  Is it in our playbook? I?m

After what we've witnessed over the past 8 games or so, would you trust the QB to throw the ball over the middle, where an inaccurate pass could result in an INT or, worse, get a WR paralyzed?

  • I don't know who is responsible for the game feed but it would behove the powers at Marshall athletics to do something about it, whatever it takes. It might be incumbent on WCHS/Fox 8/11 who has the rights to the weekly coaches show.

You're right, Fancher starting at quarterback is a premise expectant on an egg-crate ready to be dropped. That interception that he threw late in the game was deplorable.

I was dead wrong about Fancher and don't care to eat the crow. I had high hopes that he had improved from his experience last year, but he literally looks like the same exact player.

We can not go where we all want to go with this dink and dunk offense. And I also miss Lance Guidry. It seemed like our DBs were playing 8-10 yards off the ball again. Shew.

Honestly, I didn't mind the defense for most of tonight. If we could hang on to the ball a little more and take a little more pressure off of them, maybe it wouldn't turn into the kind of night they had, but they played big when they needed to.

I honestly had a lot of Hope coming in to the season. I?ve defended Fancher all off season, but after tonight, I have to openly admit I was wrong to do so.

The guy from Rice has to be better. Let?s roll with him the rest of the season.

I think we would have seen him in the second half if that wee going to happen.

Don't know if it is because Fancher really is the best we have or if Huff is too stubborn to change, but I'm afraid we are stuck with Cam.

  • The only thing that I saw worse than our performance on the field tonight was the fireworks display at the end of the game. Now that was really embarrassing. I mean, you can buy better fireworks than that for NYE or July 4th at your local Walmart. Much improvement is needed on offensive play, defenssive play and fireworks dis-plays.

  • Owen Porter did an interview before the game and they asked him what he thought about Albany's QB and Owen says their QB play's exactly like our backup TJ McMahon.

But, I don't think Huff switches either.  I don't think he switches until we start losing Sunbelt games.

And when we start losing Sunbelt games the season will already be in the dumpster.  Huff sticks with Fancher and we'll see more than 1 QB transferring ASAP, or preparing to do so, as soon as the regular season is over!!

I disagree completely, nice display at the end of our game, tremendously improved game experience.  The only thing that didn't improve from last year is our team.  But remember this, Albany will be in the 16 team FCS playoff this year.

  • Per Paul Swann, pretty decent crowd of 25,101 at the JOAN tonight.  Not bad overall considering several things, not the least of which is that Albany was 3 and 9 last season and picked ELEVENTH in their FCS League, the CAA, this season.

Just don't see how this game performance by the HERD woold inspire many "on the fence" and casual football fans to soon return to the JOAN any time soon.

  • The sky is falling lol!!! It was one game and we won. Next week is a different game. I hope Fancher completes 80% next week also. But maybe the defense will step up more and the team will come out focused. I think the team came out like our fans and thought they just needed to show up and it would be a blow out. 1-0 and ECU will be the next Herd victim.

  • It?s really not hard to figure out how important a good QB is to win at the division 1 level, you just can?t do it without it.

It?s also insane that we haven?t had a good QB, or really even decent, since Cato and look what happened then. We won the conference, what a crazy concept.
