Lol.  Give it up.  If he was better he'd be in the game.

Which one looked more like his dad when the chips were down and we needed 3 TDs in a row to win the game?  And if they'd continued having him dink and dunk the field at that pace, he wouldn't have need to throw downfield to Albany.  They slowed the pace right back down after we took the lead and everyone was out of sync.  Chad was known for picking apart the defense and winning the game...that's what happened tonight.

If he or any of the other QBs were better than Fancher then they'd be starting.  It should tell us everything we need to know about McMahon, Pennington, Parachek, and Harrison that they were unable to overtake Fancher who is absolutely terrible.

See the more I think about it and pieced it together.   Huff really rushed to declare Fancher our future, without a QB competition, to avoid a huge QB controversy with one of the most beloved Son of Marshall's son and distractions to the team and division among the fanbase and donors.

Did you really just say Fancher picked apart the defense for 3 tds? Lol. We were fighting for pur lives against albany. Ali saved our butts. Amd kudos to our receivers for the YAC today. Fancher sure did throw the hell out of the screens though, I'll give him that, he threw alot of those into the turf last season so that's an improvement.

Lol. Fancher, picking apart a defense, lmao

And if Tom Brady was going to be a great quarterback he would have been taken in the 1st round. And if Chad Pennington was going to be a Heisman finalist he would have been 4 stars and recruited by U Tenn.

  • If Fancher is the best QB we have then Huff has done a TERRIBLE job recruiting and coaching QBs

This garbage O in Year 3 is totally unacceptable

Boring AF to watch and can't win championships like this

  • Why do some of you think he is going to be like his dad because his name is Pennington? Honestly I wish they would play him to see the meltdown after a few mistakes. But I would honestly feel sorry for the kid when he started getting called trash, etc,,,

  • FWIW: Pennington had offers from MU; Akron; Ball State; EKU and TN Martin out of high school, not exactly offers from great football programs.
    https://247sports.com/player/cole-pennington-46100618/

If someone is going to bring up his father having no offers, remember Chad attended two years at Jim Donnan's  MU football camps so Donnan had seen him play. Jim was good at recognizing talent, John Wade was another of Donnan's under the radar player recruits who ended up having a nice long NFL career of about 10 years.

Huff is ambitious and looking to move to a P5 program. To think he wouldn't play the best player is laughable. Huff does seem to be committed to a running style QB and that is not Chad's strength. It would difficult to change the offense during the season.

I would like to see the player from Rice inserted into a game to see if he has the ability to improve the offense.

  • Bloodlines - groomed by a pro Qb.  He?s the answer.  Put in a pro style offense and let?s go.  This other read option **** offense is for the birds. Either under center or in the gun and play football.

Some players are good in practice and others are good in games. You don't know who's good in games until they play in one. What we do know is that Fancher isn't very good in games.

I am not sure, he did bring in Laborn who turned out to be a great player. Too bad he hasn't been able to bring a good QB.

A lot of college or pro player's offspring never play the game.

You have to do it in practice to be on the field.

Recruited to replace ball state Qb that won bowl game.  He is 6.3 215.  Chad was 6.3 225.  I like him
3rd right now.  Fine with it.  Next year he starts.

I wouldn't be surprised if transfers down a level at the end of the season.

I hope not.  But either he or Harrison is going to start here one day.  A new OC would open up the competition.
