Trying to look at some positives here. Those two guys played great last night.
Montgomery is actually one of our highest rated recruits ever, and is really the first that I can remember who came in with a high star rating who is actually living up to the hype.

Conley had *zero* hype yet looks like a good blocking AND receiving tight end.

Caleb Coombs has ability.  Use him & Chuck more.  I like our Wr Corp.  just need to be let loose with a Qb who can pass well.

Agree, all 3 were a nice suprise.  WR core is much improved, also Harrison is electric when he gets the ball in his hands.  There is enough talent at TE and WR that if we had a decent QB we would be dangerous. I really worry about the OLine again.   They were abysmal against an FCS team.   Secondary wasn't terrible, whole defense has some communication to figure out.

I understand it was against Fordham, but Albany had 10 sacks last week and they played 8 in the box the whole game because we can?t stretch the field. That makes the OLine look bad no matter who you play. More tacklers than blockers.

It also makes the Herd QB look bad, very bad, that a lower division team can take it for granted that our QB can't throw a ball 10 years down field.

I know its not the narrative that all on this board are spouting, but he played pretty well within the system and play calling he was given.  I don't like that kind of offense any more than anybody else on this board does, but 80% completion rate against a middle school is pretty good.

You must have forgotten 2 longish balls that he did throw. First was a softball that should've intercepted, the second was picked to give the Danes an opportunity to go on a game winning driver.
