You guys are putting way to much into that first game. We took them lightly and they were much better than people gave them credit for. Plus they had a game under them and we didn't. It happens but we will look totally different against ECU. Will we win? Who knows but we will look like a different team.

Generally speaking, it's where the money is going, and from whom the money is coming from determines how the spreads are adjusted. The initial lines are very well-educated estimates.

Which other sport you talking about? If it's basketball then no I can't have that same attitude. Danny proved to me that he isn't interested in recruiting better and getting ENOUGH players to take the next step. It's going to be a cluster of a season. If and when he gets serious about recruiting then I'll support. But not until he actually tries to build a roster.

Oh and BTW.....bring some of that Goran spirit to the football side for us lol!!!

This seems simple to explain. Sports betting is legal in WV, not yet legal in NC. Presumably most bets, then, are for home-state/gambling-legal Marshall, and since sports books are in the business of making money, they push the line on Marshall higher. Has nothing to do with which team is more likely to win the game, has everything to do with ensuring the sports books turn a profit on the game.

The JMU and Virginia game on espnu was delayed and will resume at 4:10. Will they go back to that or the Marshall game?

My guess is they'll go back to that one and move us to ESPN News until the JMU game is over.
