Why can't we ever get turf with a green M at midfield? It always looks yellow on TV, especially when the players are standing on it with their green jerseys. Do we order our turf from wish.com or something?

On the ESPN+ feed it looks off. Even the turf color. Last week I was watching and wondered if my color on my tv was messed up.

In person and photos I have it does look the right color green but like you say on TV it doesn?t.  At least on ESPN+ feed I have watched.

Agree. It looks so blah and old looking even when it's new. Need a much brighter green.

Have to disagree. I've been to every home game since they installed it and it looks terrible in person. It is yellow-green and very ugly. Also, why do we have to have the yard lines on top of the M when we never did before? Is it a Sunbelt rule or something? I've never seen another school do this. That also makes it look bad. Anyway, you can clearly see how different the color is when the players are standing over it and you compare it to their jerseys. It's not just the TV.

There are D2 schools out there that have turf that matches the color of the team uniforms. I really don't understand what is so hard about this and why we suck at everything basic here and settle for such mediocrity. It's basic marketing and brand consistency. Attention to detail as another poster said.

The black endzones would look a lot better if the outline of the letters was kelly instead of lime green and was about twice as thick.

That's been one of my biggest field gripes since well..forever.

The field before this one had the same shade of green in the endzone and the M as the rest of the turf (Some argue it faded but Google articles from it's debut, no Kelly green)

The field before that had no mid field logo and dark green endzone.

We've just never nailed it.

We've just never nailed it.

We had field turf brand between the last field and the old school astroturf with no midfield logo and dark green endzones. It was installed in either 04 or 05 and was replaced with the last field when Cato and crew were here. It was the best we've ever had. The midfield M was really close to the right shade and the endzones looked like natural grass with Marshall in white. Looked very good compared to the other fields we've had including this one. I'm pretty sure it's the turf we got with Mark Snyder in a package deal with the Fashion Bug lady.

Well, one plausible explanation could be that MU is trying to reduce and consolidate the number of "colors" or color schemes in use throughout the University community.

Thus, they chose a turf color for the field at the JOAN that was exactly, or at least closely, the same as the stagnating piss in the stadium's men's room toughs!!
