  • UAlbany is playing at Hawaii tonight.  It would be great to see UAlbany win that one.  Hawaii lost their first 2 games vs Vandy and Stanford.  May make me feel better about the Herd's chance for a championship this season.

That's a big ask to travel -6 hrs and play up to win.

I think it's more than 6 hrs, more like 7 or 8 at best.

  • In defense of UAlbany, I hope they flew out a day early.  Other teams make the trip and beat Hawaii.  That's all I got.  Still hoping for the win.  What a great destination for a game.  Do teams that play at Hawaii still get an extra regular season game?

  • I say behind a couple last week and they were talking about their Hawaii game this week. I thought who would look at the schedule and pick Marshall for the away trip instead of Hawaii. They seem like they thought they could win

Hawaii isn't nearly as good as they used to be. I could Albany winning that game.

  • Hawai'i looked pretty good in both their losses. Definitely a step up from last year. They'll handle Albany easily.

  • 17-17 tie at halftime.  Hawaii scored a td and field goal in the second half for the win.  Statistically it looks like a sloppy game.  The teams combined for 5 turnovers.  Both teams were under 50% on 3rd down and averaged less than 3.5 yards per rushing attempt.

UAlbanys qb managed a whole 90 yds passing against Hawaii.  Does indeed look like a sloppy game according to the box score.

  •  That was a long and exhausting trip to play a game. As I posted in another Albany thread:

I have no idea how Albany flew to Honolulu. A direct commercial flight from NYC to Honolulu via commercial flight is 11.5 hours, that is a heck of a flight. I would think that would be a hard trip for even a college football player. Then you would have the time difference adjustment of six hours to deal with with not a lot time to accumulate to time change. Also you have to factor in the travel from Albany to NYC.

As svherd posted, Fordham beat MAC member Buffalo last night 40-37 in Buffalo.
