Miller was too smart and witty playing to a bunch of beer guzzling armchair QBs.  I mean who didn't see that as a bad idea?

As many times as I have had to suffer listening to other team homers, I just can't build up a lot of sympathy for ODU fans.

The whole production is bad. The announcing is horrible. I am sure basketball will be worse.

I was fine with the announcers, understanding it wasn't the A team. The thing the drove me crazy was the the downs and yards to go graphic was almost always off.

Actually, the problem is that is "our A team".  Mark Martin is the sportcaster for our official affiliate (which has always sucked since it moved away from WSAZ, and Lee is apparently who they got after Doug Chapman can no longer be around.

I've been watching the last 5-6 minutes of the Troy-Georgia State game, none of the problems that existed during our game are happening here...down and distance are correct, the announcers sound professional and the video isn't stuttering.

The worst was Pam Ward when Vinny Curry was injured.

Actually, the problem is that is "our A team".  Mark Martin is the sportcaster for our official affiliate (which has always sucked since it moved away from WSAZ, and Lee is apparently who they got after Doug Chapman can no longer be around.

The guy that came in from Detroit last year was not great but FAR better than Mark Martin

I wonder if Keith Morehouse has ever been given the opportunity to be our ESPN+ play by play guy? Maybe so and just doesn't want to do it, but it would only seem right to offer it to him.

great player, not so great commentator.  one, you can't talk over the field announcer.  two, no thought depth (for a previous player and coach)

I'm glad to see Carl in the booth. He needs some work, but he's getting better each game. He needs to stop talking when the refs are announcing penalties, etc. I think he's a good choice, just give him a chance to develop.

This is Marshall's ESPN+ production, so you would expect the color person to be a homer...no surprize there...

Loved it when ole Sonny would describe a player, running back, receiver, etc., as being "quicker than a hiccup"!!

As for Mark Martin being with the HERD's official affiliate, I wonder just how long that contract was bid out for (number of years)?  Seems like WCHS in Charleston has had it for some time now.  In the minds of many, for "too long"!!  Wonder how soon before MU has the chance to bid its media/TV rights out again?

Bigger issue is person in charge of the on screen graphics. Super slow with down and distance. Halfway through 3rd quarter and it still said 2nd quarter etc.
