  • How many people said Fancher could never bring us back down 2-3 scores? Heck he did it in about 1 quarter.

Give it a rest. Don't have to be so extreme about it. He's not great, he's not terrible. It doesn't have to be awesome or awful.

Extreme? People like you are extreme. Bitching one second because we suck and then loving every minute of it. Maybe try and get off the roller coaster??

  • I don't understand the mentality on the drive that ended with the Marshall turnover, piss poor lateral.

ODU turns it over to Marshall. Why not go for the kill shot? Instead they totally change up what worked on that opening drive.

  • RB with 25 yards rushing ALL Season goes virtually untouched to the house.  D-Line and LBs playing with their heads up their A$$es, apparently!  Must have celebrated Homecoming all last night.  Pathetic tackling, etc., by HERD D!!

  • Man. This is rough. I knew our rush D was soft but give credit to Odu man. Their coaches targeted our weakness and are just pounding it.

. they've been bad all year, this is a concentrated effort by ODU to attack it. They've been practicing it for two weeks. Gotta give their coaches credit.

  • Lee was spot on regarding all the long runs.
The Herd front two layers have demonstrated very poor gap discipline.

Plus some poor tackling at the point of attack.

  • Per Steve Cotton, Ali has 2 tds in every game thus far to start the season.  4 straight games and joins the likes of Chapman, Moss, etc., on a small list that is headed up by former MU great Jackie Hunt back in the 40s!!! Hunt did it in 7 straight games!! And Hunt is in the College Football HOF!!

    NOT TOO SHABBY, Mr. Ali!!!

  • Now for Pete's sake can we have a drive to put this game away?

  • Playing not to lose.  Doc ball.
I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.- Knute Rockne

  • Now with 10 minutes left, Huff goes all brakes and no gas. A TD ends the game. If the FG is successful ODU is only two TDs down. Plus a 2ndhalf TO wasted, JIC ODU does go up.

I will say this.  Didn't think we had the ability to come back from 18 down.   Hopefully we can hold onto this game and win.

  • Still a frustrating end to that drive. There's almost 10 minutes left and we were driving and just decided to quit trying. This game isn't over.
