  • Kickoff is at 7pm and is available on ESPN+.

If it is anything like the WVU match Georgia Southern will pack it in and play for a scoreless tie.

  • Georgia Southern 1-0 with 12 minutes left. Turnover in back half led to only Georgia shot and subsequent goal.

  • Can?t face another mistake in our back 1/3. It is the only way Georgia Southern can score on us.

Hopefully this will be a lesson learned.

We've been very fortunate in that more goals have not been surrendered due to careless TOs in and around the 18 yd box.

  • I gotta admit, Ga Southern's announcers are terrific. Appropriately homer, but totally fair.

Agree, we continue to play with it in the back, and eventually it will cost us a game. Thinking WVU. Just clear it long and set up. Teams that press us have success.

Too much "me" ball. Pass the ball and space. Terrible. This team isn't nearly as good without Pasqual

I don't agree...Ga Southern is well coached and play with effort. They've had 2 draws against really good competition.

  • If we attack this team we beat them 6-2

No way they could hold up against our talent

Tonight was like having a Ferrari and driving slow

Terrible to watch and too sloppy at back

Allowed an inferior opponent to hang around

Not good enough as our form isn't as good right now

Hopefully just a blip but we have some things to work through

  • Undefeated and untied and No. 1 in the country and this thread almost sounds like the football board.

  • Our style of play the last 4-5 games is completely different from the first 4-5 games.  To start the season, we played full go from the first whistle, put up insane stats, and won games 4-0, 5-0, etc against teams that are playing to win their conferences and be in the NCAA tournament.

Since AGP has been out, we've been playing this overtly patience play.  It's giving us fewer shots and opportunities, but its also limiting their opportunities - but I think when we have the talent and depth we have, we want to run and gun it.    Either way, we were more fun when we are full pressing.  I've not necessarily liked our pace of play change, but then again I just didn't coach this group to a new program long win streak tonight.

  • Anyone know why Fujita didn't play tonight?  Injured?

He's a strong defender who makes the team better.

Sorry about that -- according to the box score, he did play.  Didn't notice him out there.

  • I think Grassie IS tinkering with the back line.  Amaro, Roberto, and Pinto got the starts tonight on the back line in place of Fuijita, Bamford, and allowing Stjernegaard playing up in midfield for Veiga/Sordo.  I'm not certain why or if messages are being sent, or if Grassie's not happy with the play of the back line, but this is basically the biggest lineup shuffle of the season.

After his play against UCF, I'm surprised Sordo didn't see more than just 20 minutes tonight.

  • GA Southern held WVU to a 0-0 draw in Morgantown.  This was a good win.
