I think they will let his contract play out. Only way I see him leaving is if he leaves on his own.

He will leave in his own accord not be fired.  He will fire some assistants and not be renewed then mail it in next year more so than this year

He will be here next year. We are too cheap to buy him out and they'll let him stay saying he deserves a chance to right the ship. Just like Doc after 2016

That's possible.  He won't get another HC shot for a while.  He can move back to a position coach at a P5 and make about as much while trying to rebuild his reputation for another shot.  He may want out of Huntington that bad. Let's hope so.

I wish we would part ways. Fire the staff after the last game and move forward. That will not happen though. Sadly. Next year will be just as bad.

I think Banker is right. Also, Huff in not like Doc. He will be motivated to field the best team he can to move on somewhere, ever if it is as a coordinator for a larger school. I would prefer to have him here next year because 1) he will pull out all the stops and 2) next year could really be a sh?t show to bring a new coach into. We lose Neal, Porter, Roberts, Burton, Abraham, and quite possibly Ali.

I think Huff works hard, but hard work does not guarantee results. Let him try to fix it. I think he is a man of character and I do not think he would phone it in.

There would be a number of difficulties that have nothing to do with race if letting Huff go is seriously considered at the conclusion of this season.

My guess is that that there will be an extension offered that is Marshall friendly. The offer would be contingent on overhauling the staff.
I'm just being honest. I've been a Huff skeptic since that 3 game slide in the 2021 season.

Hopefully Spears can craft a way of sliding Huff out while making the job more attractive to a better candidate.

He will be brought back.  MU has no cajones and honestly doesn't really care about winning conference championships.  Until they do otherwise this is how I will fill.  I will pull back all of my resources if he is retained, that is the only way I know to be heard.
