How many of you would invest in a company with a first time CEO, in his third year, with his top assistants never having been top assistants before,, and 40 new employees out of 105 contributors; who also just lost his chief employ relationship manager, for money.

He will be here unfortunately.  Stay in the West lot if you want.  But if you truly want change then you must speak with your wallet.  That's what I did in docs last couple years.  I'm not a huge donor, but I donated enough to get calls and emails and at least got to vent and make my feelings known.

What percentage would you give that Huff is not our coach next year, not what you hope, I am 100% on that, but realistically what you think will happen. Knowing Marshall my suspicion is around 20% he will be gone.

Never say "never".  Therefore, 95% chance Huff is back next season unless he does something really stupid such as getting caught DUI in Pittsburg, trashes a hotel room at a Las Vegas casino after having a few to many and a bad night at the blackjack table, or gets drunk at Mardi Gra Casino in Crosslanes before being tossed out by security after the police are called.

If anything, we may see some coaching staff changes and another round of Huff telling everyone what a great recruiting class he has signed for the Herd.  Unless he is able to turn the team around this season, Huff and his agent have to see the dream of moving on to bigger and better as a HC slipping away.

I expect Huff to be back next season, I just hope Spears doesn't give him an extension.  If J was betting my thoughts are it won't be announced but behind the scenes Huff gets a 1 or 2 year extension prior to seasons end.

MU is public so someone could check but I bet it won't be announced with any fanfare.

If Huff does return next season, then give him a 1 year extension with a very small buyout so that the school isn't on the hook for a lot of money if they need to fire him.  That way Huff can't use the lame duck status as an excuse if he is fired.

Would he really be renewed if we're looking at a 4-8 season? This is basically the point a coach needs to be extended or fired, otherwise he wouldn't be able to recruit in year 4 while on the hot seat.

Huge difference between firing a track, women's soccer etc coach vs a bball or football coach.  That is 2 different things.  Until proven otherwise that will be my stance.
