Topic: Perrotta finally gets Sunbelt award

Perrotta finally gets the Sunbelt weekly Defensive award.  He's leading the league in shutouts and until the WVU match we were a top 5 defensive team in the nation, yet each week the Sunbelt awards would come out and he was left out.

Glad he's finally recognized.

Stjernegaard also won the weekly Offensive award.  Marshall players have won 6 of the 11 week awards.

His shot against USC was gold. Many in the stands didn't know if it went in the net or not. I think he also has the incredible save and pass the Pasqual for his goal.

I'm not belittling Perrotta in saying this because he is an excellent keeper, but he hasn't had to save a large number of SOG while being credited for all the clean sheets.
If you attend the matches in person, anyone can see that there's a lot more to being a great keeper than making saves.
