  • Is the only player who showed up tonight.  15 tackles after getting carted off 2 weeks ago.  Pathetic that Porter, Abraham and Ali all returned this year to deal with this 💩 show.

  • He did play his butt off.  Glad to have him back.  Too bad he has been let down by his teammates.

I don't blame the kids. This staff has shown they shouldn't be in D1. Pathetic. I do feel bad because Street and Morrison are Sons of Marshall. 2024 will not be any better. Spears needs to stop the bleeding after the last game.

Porter hasn't done anything this year besides throw off on the fan base for not coddling him and his teammates.

  • Good on him, but lets be honest, if your safety has 15 tackles, you're in trouble.

I was in that camp, but I think I overreacted to his comments.  Porter has produced in 2024.  He can?t play QB, and Puff hasn?t played Porter as a FB.

Porter took the NIL money and is running with it. He made such a big deal about it (NIL) on TV when they interviewed him about coming back this year.

  • Come on guys. I get you are frustrated, I am as well, but Porter is a local kid who loves Marshall, chose to stay and come back this year, he is playing hurt, and he has made multiple big plays for us this year.

Take your frustrations out on someone else, preferably the coaches, and the AD if we end up keeping these coaches.

Well I heard your pounties offered him a lot more money than MU to transfer to morganhole, but he stayed at MU.

  • Porter seems like a product of a bad scheme. Also the health hasn't been great. But he keeps showing up and that counts for something. Him, Leggs, Gibson, Burton didn't suddenly forget how to play football. Neal and Anderson didn't forget. Abraham suddenly didn't forget how to cover.

We have a terrible DC and he's making the kids look awful!

  • We can sit here all day, and most of the night too, discussing this player and that player and what they individually did or did not do in HERD games this season.  But collectively what the players do and accomplish AS A TEAM will ultimately rest on the shoulders of one person:  the Head Coach.

And based on our play overall the HERD's HC has shown that where he really BELONGS is at some MEAC school as the lowest position coach on the staff, IMO!  He's just not ready to be a HC at the FBS level in a League like the SBC!

If we had 20 more Owen Porters, we'd be 9-0 right now.  Never had an issue with him.  He's an all time Herd great in my eyes.

  • Should be/needs to be running T&F.   The new HC is supposed to be a sprint/hurdle genius.  Pitt wins the 4x1 and hurdles in NCAA every year.  Nothing but AA each year.

  • JJ has a ton of heart and good instincts, but man he?s a step or two slow for a safety.
