I get trashed on multiple boards for months. I called it like I saw at QB and y'all said he's fine.  Where in the hell are you at now?  Tj McMahon may not be 100 percent but Cole is.  Any coach who plays Fancher unless all.others are injured needs booed of the field.  I stand by my original controversial post FANCHER IS TRASH

No need for this thread. They all know they are wrong now. Fancher is a very bad qb, or a trash QB if you will, but he is a good kid, just unable to play at this level and it's the coaches fault to put him in that situation.

I'm right here little man. There isn't a single reason in the world for you to call him trash. Have your opinion, that's fine but take a step back and look at the situation. Instead of acting like not so smart, why don't you call out the coaching staff for not making the change.

I was all for Cam because I thought he gave us the best chance to win as long as he was playing within the system and not making horrible mistakes. Last 2-3 weeks he has really went downhill in all areas. Huff should let Cole finish the season and see if he can grow and show potential for next year. But calling a kid pure trash is about as low as it gets. Saying he isn't a good QB is one thing but calling someone trash is unacceptable imo. Congrats!!!

Although Cam isn't a good qb I do believe he is doing the best he can.  Not saying that's good enough.  I just don't see a reason to call him trash?  Come on now, we're better than that, myself included.  I have said somethings about him I shouldn't have said.

Anyone who has seen my posts will know I do not think Fancher is a FBS QB.  While I believe that is more correct than ever, it is the Head Coach who makes the call on who plays.  Can't fault a kid who gets the nod when it is a poor decision by the Coach.   With that said, there are plenty of converted QBs in the NFL in positions like WR or Tight end.  With Fancher's current build, WR would be the logical place.  If he can add weight / bulk up TE could eventually be possible.

I don't know what's worse... Throwing personal insults at a player or taking pride in the team being awful for the sake of a childish "I told you so".

Coaches are always fair game but insulting players like this is just trashy.

Exactly.  Cam is a 20 something young man that has been put in a bad position because he either lacks the aptitude or the direction/development from the coaches to be good at playing quarterback.  He is a talented athlete.  Find him another position and let him contribute that athleticism as he can. 

Calling him trash is uncalled for.  I reserve the word trash for someone beating up women, dealing hard drugs, molesting kids or breaking into houses, etc.  Doing something difficult like playing qb at an FBS program and trying your best--and I do believe he is trying--is not anywhere near that.  I actually admire and feel sorry for him for the position he's been put into.

I have been hard on Cam's play, but no need to say nasty things about him.  It's more of a reflection of the person saying it than him.

I take no pleasure in him struggling even more.  I'd rather have been completely wrong and Cam succeeded.

I'm not a fan of sacrificing/wasting a season to train a QB, especially with a senior QB on the bench.

Disparagement being bad enough. I'm guilty ... difficult where to draw the line sometimes. Certainly name-calling can seem a bit excessive. And I agree Cam Fancher is trying as hard as he can. The many drops seem to make a bad situation worse - over and above the continual drive-killing underthrows and INT's.

However, the last pick Fancher threw at Coastal was just it for me. Three defenders, no MU rx. in the picture. After hanging up my sandlot cleats I have been watching football for almost 60 years now. Doesn't make any sort of expert but there comes a point when one can see when a QB just does not have the "IT" factor.

Where would that lead us ? Obviously a replacement for Fancher. But who would it be ?

Cole Pennington - No RS remains. "Rumored" to have performed well running the Scout team and/or be the best QB on the team.
Chase Harrison - Highly rated HS QB. Film showed considerable mobility. No further information.
Remaining QBs - Unknown

Seems our ( we fans ) calls for Cole to start are logical and basically essential.

I went back to the box score today to find something positive to say about Cam.  I'm not trashing him, but his Qbr was 7.5 for the app State game.  It's not an abnomally either.  That is also not a typo. Sorry, but if he is the best qb we have then we need to run only the wildcat or triple option.
