  • Might get your wish ... extremely physical so far (early).

#2 seed UCF losing at home 1-0 early.

  • Best result would be for USC to win & then upset USPAM.

  • UK 2 JMU 1 w/25 mins left

But it has been a card fracas and UK is down to 10 players after a Red.

Last I Herd UCF had closed to within 2-1 ... that game may be over now or close to it.

JMU's squad is borderline (maybe beyond that) dirty.
So now we want UK to win but to earn another red toward the end of the match.

  • Does red card prevent them from playing the next game? I can?t remember how that works?

If so, who is the UK player who received a red card?

Red card was given to UK's Martin Soereide, so he is out for the MU game.  He doesn't seem to be a critical cog in their machine; a part-time starter.

  • Marshall will have an opportunity to avenge both losses.  First up UK.  Their defense is outstanding, but we outshot them 16 to 5 two weeks ago.  I like our chances.  Can't make any dumb mistakes.  I hope when things are tight that we'd just play away a few times.

I think we only lose this match if we shoot ourselves in the foot--which is what we did two weeks ago.

Hopefully, that loss increases our intensity.

Win on Wednesday and we will guarantee a Top 4 seed, if we are not already there.

    Go Herd!

Heard a back issue for Duggan

    AGP was limping on sideline

Hopefully we get them back for NCAA tournament

    UK's #7 is a problem.
I'd feel better if Duggan was back.

Smart to hold both out today.  We need them both for NCAAs.  I wouldn't be opposed to holding both out Wednesday.  If Duggan's out we just have to play smarter in the back line and go away on some balls that normally we'd try to build it from the back.  UK cannot beat us.  We can only beat ourselves against them.

  • We're less likely to collect cards against UK than we would've against JMU.
    So that's a plus.
But UK is very capable of beating us.
Plus they need the result more.

  • UK's win jumped their RPI into the 30's which now projects them to be one of last at large teams in. JMU RPI dropped a little but still in as only one spot separates the two schools in RPI. As of now, SBC would have 5 teams in but JMU/UK are just on inside with still potential to be bumped out by upsets in conf tournaments. I would expect UK RPI to go up after playing us win or lose. A win or draw would make them a lock no matter what happens in SB tourney final. A PK loss is considered a draw for RPI.

UCF ended up with a whopping 28 shots vs SC but couldn't find equalizer. Their RPI dropped to #10 after second consecutive loss. They were still #3 after JMU loss but SC loss hurt more.

#1/#2 RPI Notre Dame lost at home in conf Qtrs to Louisville 4-3 in a wild one. Louisville led 2-0 at half. They added a goal in 2nd half to go up 3-0. ND then scored two between 60-70th minutes and then equalized late but Louisville found back of net again in last few minutes to win. They went from bubble to firmly in over last week now sitting at #14 RPI. With ND loss MU sits pretty good at #1 RPI. Even a loss to UK or WVU wouldn't likely knock MU out of top 4. A loss to SC likely would.

Weather Wed looks to be in 70's with low of just 64 with not much chance of rain...as of now. Also as of now, tickets for UK match are not yet on sale. Yesterday's crowd was a SRO crowd of 1,790. UK match two weeks ago drew 3,099. A rematch with WVU would likely draw a stadium record crowd. It will be interesting to see how MU handles tickets for Wed and Sunday (if we win).

Lots of tix available for tonight BB game with Queens. $40 lower level chairbacks, $35 lower behind basket bleachers, $20 mid level chairbacks, upper level not available

"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS
