When somebody's not doing a good job at you're place of employment, we have the tendency to assign other characteristics to that person that may or may not have any basis in truth. We tend to do that to coaches.
Huff is not stupid, neither is Trickett.
Huff is fairly open & straight forward in his pressers about how he sees the game and his team.
That said, some of Huff's statements & answers strongly imply that he is aware that his team is short of talent.
In the post season meeting(s), Spears & Huff will undoubtably talk about the obvious offensive meltdown and the boring style of play.
Assuming a 6-6 result, I wouldn't be surprised if Huff was offered an extension, but that the extension would be written such that Huff would be likely to turn it down. He will have plenty of other opportunities for employment, just not as a HFC in the near term.
