So far the herd has missed about 5-6 layups.  And also some careless turnovers.  Maybe just early season jitters.

I've been thinking the entire game, it's been a very long time since I've watched a women's game, and watching this reminds me of why.

I like the pace, but damn they're supposed to put the ball through that round thing hanging over the floor.

Yep. Hope they do well and Caldwell takes us places but I would never go to a womens game. Just never got into it and I have daughters.

I thank you for supporting our Universities athletics.
This is our 1st game. George Mason has a game under their belt.

If we could improve our level of play during our new coaches tenure, I believe you could be surprised how much fun WCBB will be.
Right now we have a long way to go, but at least we have turned around and headed in the right direction; hoping this for all University sports.

Personally, I find the touch officiating vs what I am accustomed to watching is repulsive.
But...trust me herdfans...it will take some time, but upper level WCBB is entertaining ...I am all in on our new coach...
Let's pull together and us herdfans go all in to support our Herd WCBB...

This is just brutal to watch, and I have watched a lot of women's basketball, quite honestly I blame the officiating. You just can't call everything you see, especially in the women's game. There was only one time I can remember a back to back possession without a whistle.

As to our team, hope this team improves as the year goes on, but it might take a year or two until she gets her players in here.

The way this game is being officiating is simply horrendous to sit here and watch. I had a feeling when they called that first foul on us which was a clear block shot from a mile away that this crew would take us out of our aggressive play.

George Mason has some good players. They have also gotten every call from the two males on this crew.

Unfortunately we are trying to press with some players that aren't good press player types. We are rattled. We have missed way too many free throws and gotten too tentative on defense late in the half and lost track of rebounding.

Agree with the officiating -  That is how you beat a full court pressing team (stop play everytime down the floor) (the older official blows his whistle as he cannot keep up)   also George Mason is really big (welcome to D1) -

Good experience - will help in conference - Coach will adjust - Need bigger athletic players -   Fun to watch......

They may not come all the way back but they have made quite a comeback.  They have not quit even when 23 down.  Only if they could have thrown it in the ocean in the first half then what could have been.
