  • No guard quickness at all. Any good solid team we light us up. That is why the first 3 games didn't tell us anything. Very bad opponents. And Radford isn't great but they at least have decent players.

  • Seeing Martin for the first time, he seems quicker for a big and tough around the basket.

How many second chance rebounding have we given up?

Appears we really only have two guys that can create their own shot (Voyles and Crawford) and can't buy a bucket.

Why doesn't Dan ever play zone?

  • can't buy a bucket or it'd be a different game.  the shots look rushed/forced.

  • I have zero problem with Nutter getting playing time. I thought we did better defensively while he and Crawford were in the game.

The ball has to touch Martin every possession. He has a quick first move and can pass out of the post. It didn't always work out well, but he and Crawford ran a nice two-man game. The offense does better when it touches Martin's hands.

When a 5'10" guard is matched up on Fricks, then you throw the spread game out and have Fricks go to the low block and post him up. I saw that 3 times and Fricks stands 22 feet from the basket away from the ball. Why can't Dan see that?

Radford's offensive movement isn't that great. I don't know why we had so many defensive breakdowns during that one stretch where Radford stretched the lead out. With this length, why not play some zone defense?

I am hoping we can pull this out.

Martin is a stud. Knew from day 1 when we got him, he'd be a fan favorite. He is dominating but need to get him the ball more. Some reslly bad calls by officials in my eyes. These rims are messing with us for sure. Our rim seemed stiffed than radfords, those will be switched obviously so hopefully the reverse happens in 2nd half and they rim out like we were. Honestly, lucky it's only 10 at half. We're still in it. This is a tough test for a new team in game two in this weird venue. We gotta rebound better too.

  • Danny being Danny. Won't play at Morehead, EKU and doesn't want to play at Akron. But all for this idiotic set up.
I don't blame Danny or Marshall one bit for not going back to Morehead after the BS they pulled on our kids last time we were there.

That isn't why Danny doesn't want to play there.

  • I don't remember either. The only thing I remember about Morehead was all the fouls that were called. I believe both teams combined to shoot almost 100 free throws (or it seemed like that). I vowed to never go back to that place. Just a boring and horrible experience.

  • 20+ shooting percentage in the first half; outrebounded by 7 and 0-9 from 3 point land is NOT the way to beat very many teams, whether in the NBA, College basketball or in biddy leagues!!

When our kids were shooting free throws late in the game, a Morehead guy working a camera was caught intentionally shifting his weight into the goal making the backboard and rim shake and move when our kids shot. Its the kind of busch league stuff you find at places like Morehead. I wouldn't go back either.

  • They said there will be a tournament here next year. They have to call it The Ballroom Blitz.

  • Who are these announcers. It looks like that MU is considered as the home team, but all these 2 are talking about is Radford.

I hope the AD will tell the Gov to make the Pouties support his misuse of his authority and let them play there instead of us.

  • Martin is the biggest addition imo. Obinna has never developed a skill set. Still have no true PG. and Conner brings no aggressiveness to the game. This team needs a couple quick ball handling guards.

When you see the scoreboard in shots our score is listed as the visitors.  The announcers are definitely piss poor homers.

  • Herd had a chance to get it down to 4 but "hot shot" Fricks bricks two free throws.  Now back to 9 for Radford as HERD is 2-a boatload on 3 pointers.  Pretty clearly that with Danny's "style" of play, shooting is essential!!  However who on the HERD can shoot accurately with consistency??

I don't care how big a check Justice offers to bounce.

  • Marshall needs a guy like Giles from Radford. Cat quick and can handle. That is our biggest need on this team. We don't have a true quick PG with great handles.

  • Conner, Fricks and the like are liabilities on the interior and prone to being "abused".  No physicality, No athleticism, etc., etc.  Check our roster: a "slew" of stringbean types, all in the 6-7" to 6'10" range but only weight 180 or 190 so pounds.  So much for any emphasis on Strength and Conditioning by D'Antoni and staff!!

Yeah basically Giles, a "man", is playing against "boys" in the HERD uniforms, bust!
