Martin is the biggest addition imo. Obinna has never developed a skill set. Still have no true PG. and Conner brings no aggressiveness to the game. This team needs a couple quick ball handling guards.

Been saying we need quick card for what 3 yrs now?  Never gonna happen with Dan here

Per radio crew, Cotton, etc., Conner late on the switch.  Danny's recruits- -no athleticism, but obviously they looked "good" shooting the 3 pointers in high school playing an inferior foe!!

Oh, Danny Fans, to show that things just DON'T CHANGE year after year under his "leadership", winning team player, Giles, had his CAREER SCORING HIGH tonight playing against that "vaunted" Danny D. "D"!!! SAME-O, SAME-O in Year TEN under High School Danny!!

IMO the 3 best players we have are the transfers. Conner brings nothing and not active. Fricks is still out of control. Obinna has never developed. And we still have 4 butts nailed to the end of the bench. Curfman is a tweener. Not a good Pg but small for a good 2 guard. Maybe Danny will do more of the portal but I doubt it. He has already signed 2 freshman. Any team with guards like Giles will light us up.

Tough loss.  Can't win many games shooting 32%.  Need to find more scoring somewhere.  Couple of players need to step up or it could be a long season.   Not sure about Voyles yet, he didn't shot well tonight.

Conner, Fricks and the like are liabilities on the interior and prone to being "abused".  No physicality, No athleticism, etc., etc.  Check our roster: a "slew" of stringbean types, all in the 6-7" to 6'10" range but only weight 180 or 190 so pounds.  So much for any emphasis on Strength and Conditioning by D'Antoni and staff!!

It's a good thing we landed Martin or this team would be lucky to win 10 games. BTW Handlogton had 14 pts and 14 rebs tonight against Virginia.

It is sad that DD won?t play at Morehead or EKU. Both teams have have been to the NCAA tournament plenty of times and we always have great crowds.

Who cares that they played in a ballroom. That isn?t anything new when there are multi team events in vacation spots. UK has done it a few times. I don?t understand why they don?t set up in the indoor facility though and get more seats in it.  Sure a lot of MTE are in arenas but plenty are in small places or even ball rooms. The place we play at in the Cayman Islands holds 2,000 people and looks like a high school gym. My son?s school holds more than this gym but that is how these work.

Hey that's the way Danny Boy "likes em", Knight.  Many on here have been saying for years he needs to recruit some "studs", bruisers, more inside physical types from Junior College ranks, etc., to shore up our inside game on BOTH ends of the floor.  But NOOOOOO, he wants those weak, slender, non-athletic types who "look good" shooting uncontested 3s, but can do LITTLE ELSE!!

i see it as just an off night shooting.  doesn't really matter how good or bad the opponent.  you just can't shoot 32% and 21% 3s and get out rebounded by 10.  all other stats weren't really a factor

What's going on with Conner? He hasn't progressed on offense and seems to get reach fouls and not catching up to quicker players, and getting pushed around.
Fricks, seem to disappear and miss free throws, and doesn't box out, and gets pushed around.
These two have to get better.
Obinna has to be down there below and get rebounds.

Martin needs to get the ball more, and can actually finish or create a shot on his man. Was pleased with him for the first time watching him.

Kam tried his best to shoot us to the win. He seemed to still struggle on defense with the quick guards.

Voyles and Crawford didn't shoot well, and should have passed it more.

Thought Voyles played good defense at times for us. Not sure why Nutter wasn't in there more, he seemed to make plays.

Disappointed to say the least.

I don't think Dan can think during late game situations. I just don't understand it.

He had a chance to see their lineup on the court. They have small lineup with quick guards. He calls timeout. Instead of subbing out Conner and playing Crawford or Nutter, he goes with the lineup. He then proceeds to defend as if they were going inside with that lineup. THEY CHASE SCREENS on the inside and Radford runs a screen-the-screener to the outside. Conner gets there way late and instead of jumping vertically.....jumps towards the shooter. Even if he misses that shot, he gets 3 free throws.

I like this team. But Dan just doesn't ever seem to get late-game strategy. Can't his assistants help him there? Or does he just go with something that has no rhyme or reason? I just don't understand it. Every time that we are in a close game at the end and strategy comes into play....I have zero confidence in Dan.
