At this level, there is no growing pains. Either you are ready to play or not. What blow a season or two and see if a QB develops? That will get a coach fired in a hurry.

Thats all he has been throwing safe passes. Slants, screens. Only two passes over 10 yards. He doesn't have the mobility to roll very far.

Hey man, I'm not arguing with ya.  Not sure what you expected out of any qb that has never started a game at the d1 level. Idgaf who starts at qb, I'm not happy, but also realistic about the situation.  Crappy oline, crappy hc, crappy offensive staff, crappy DC.  Just saying he looks better than Fancher.  That's not saying much...but I also do not think he is gonna come out and look like his dad either.

P.S.  anyone who thinks there isn't growing pains out of a freshman or rs freshman then idk what to tell them.

What I am seeing is a player in their first start at qb and doing what the previous qb couldn't do...lead a touchdown drive. Will Cole pan out? Don't know at this moment. But, I feel a little better about our chances.
