  • The ones I wouldn't mind seeing are:

SI: Herd vs. Boise (EasyPost Hawai'i Bowl)  https://www.si.com/college/2021/11/28/college-football-bowl-game-projections-2021

Fox Sports:  Herd vs. Minn (Quick Lane)  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/2023-college-football-bowl-projections

CFN:  Herd vs Ohio (Quick Lane)  https://collegefootballnews.com/bowl-projections/bowl-projections-college-football-playoff-predictions-week-14
Yeah, to bad that bowl prediction with Boise was from back in 2021......

  • As long as it isn't a C-USA or former C-USA 3.0 team, I'm happy.

  • Bahamas/Charlotte would be good as it is a weekend game and MU would have decent support.

  • Im probably in the minority but playing Minnesota and PJ Fleck is a great bowl.  I don't think we could do better if we won the league.  Too bad we can't score touchdowns against good teams.

In name only.  If we beat them then we beat a team that had a losing record and if we lose then we lost to a team with a losing record.

I did see another Boise pick playing them in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.  It was projected by action sports.  They fired their HC.

  • Let's go for Eastern Michigan.  With about half the staff departed, don't feel too comfortable about our chances against any other team with basically a "pulse".  So let's hope we get a MAC also ran where a "W" is at least a possibility.

As for Aloha Bowl, does ANYONE who is Not Bat-crap out of their mind think that HERD Fans will just in massive numbers stream halfway around the globe to go watch a 6-6 MU team play in Hawaii this year??

They did beat Nebraska, Michigan State and a ranked Iowa team.  They were 5-3 with 4 games left and went on a 4 game losing streak (sound familiar).   If we played their schedule, we'd be 1-9 probably.  They played 4 ranked teams in the top 25 and probably 7-8 in the top 60.

our strength of schedule is very similar in the low to mid 70s ranked.  facts matter.

  • Iowa, lol.  Those guys should have "This our year, finally," engraved on their tombstone.  They always start our ranked and always end up crap.  They're the Cincinnati Reds of college football.

if you take Penn State off Iowas record their opponents record is something like 60-71.  They literally played nobody.  Don?t let the Big 10 scare you, especially the West.  It?s horrible football.  Heck South Dakota State went in there last year lost 7-3 in Iowa City. Putrid offenses.

Sad part is most of the year we have been the Iowa of the G5s.  Brutal offense.

  • A P5, any P5, would mean more to win and play, than any G5. I just hope our viewership and ratings are enough to negotiate us into one of those bowls. There will be lots of trading with so many ineligible from other leagues and so many eligible from ours.

  • This would be terrible, and I don't see it happening.
The only angle I can get from being mentioned with EMU is that Spears spent time there.  I hope he's not pulling for this.  The bowl in Detroit wouldn't be bad, IMO, if it wasn't the day after Christmas.  The Tasty Toastery (Bahamas) makes the most sense as it's in Charlotte, on Saturday, the 16th, and I think MU would put a lot of fans in the seats (15K stadium)

  • We are one of the worst teams in the country going to a bowl. We cant complain with any bowl we get.

Furthermore, we have a good bowl record, given how bad we are, this season is already over, I?d rather play a team we can beat so it preserves our bowl record.

  • I'm hoping for a bowl in a warm weather destination and a competitive game.  As others have said, with our record we can't complain about the opponent.  I don't see another cold weather destination bowl game in my immediate future.  Florida would be a good destination for the fans and coaches.  Maybe check in on a few recruits in the Florida and Georgia area.  It looks like there is a Contact Period from December 1st - 16th.  I don't know how that lines up with prospective bowl games or game prep time.

Our record is actually the same record as MANY other teams going to bowls this year, and several of them our in our conference.
