An athletic director and anyone above him or her that has to approve the hire would be sticking their necks out to hire Huff with his record.  I doubt there is an athletic director in FBS that would be willing or able to put his or her career/paycheck on the line to take that gamble. 

Huff's FBS win record is 18-16 over three seasons for a 53% FBS win percentage.

Wow!  At 53%, ole Huff and Danny Boy are pretty close coming down to the wire.  Huff has at least one more chance (Bowl game) to inch his percentage up.  If basketball plays out this season like they have played in the first 6 games, Huff may not need another game to edge ahead of DD when the 23-24 season wraps up.

53%, plus or minus a digit or 2..., my, what a drastic change downward from those days when the HERD asserted "We Play for Championships"!!  Today it is more like, "We Play to Avoid Mediocrity. . . Barely"!!

Just curious, have you ever looked at Dan's record? I haven't look at all his schedules but hasn't Dan has played several D2 and NAIA schools each season? I am defending Huff, but Dan needs to be let go since he doesn't or can't coach. I just hate the double standard for Dan.
