  • is in the transfer portal.  That'd be a hell of a pick up to go with a new OC.  Probably cost $250k to have a shot, maybe more.  Has one year.  Would be good to use him while we develop or retrain his successor.

  • Why would he come here? He's not transferring for a lateral move.

I doubt 250k. That would be so risky. NIL wants to get some return on their investment. Bringing in a QB with injury problems, who the last two years has been inconsistent. That would be a huge risk of 250k. Not sure it would pay off in the long run with wins.

  • If he can?t run he?s not as effective.  But he?s still Better than our Qbs.  Huff is going to pay for a good offense.  Bet

  • 250K is way low. Matt Rhule just said today a good portal QB costs 1 to 2 mil.

McCall's inability to stay healthy and questions about how good he is outside of a very specific system might lower his value some, but I bet he's closer to a million than a quarter million.

As compared to whom?  We don't have any consistency now.  And getting a cheapshot concussion is not the same thing as injury prone.  I mean the guy we're using almost cost us a bowl with back problems and insisted on playing with a busted leg this year and we dropped five games during that time.  I mean I don't really care if it's him, just thought it was interesting because of the timing.

  • He had a bad year stats wise and was held out for too many concussions, so there is that.  I got a feeling he's going to have a transfer experience like Andy Taylor.  Go to a P5 mid grade school and watch from the sidelines.

He'll get 6, same as any player who was on a roster in 2020 and also redshirted a year, which he did in 2019 by only playing a handful of snaps in 2 games.

Does Alex Thomson have any eligibility left? He must be healed up by now. He can finally get a shot at that Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

No but Grant Wells has another year left.  He's been beaten out and probably won't ever see the field again.  I heard he got married and might just walk away from football though.
