Starting OL Trent Holler and back up RB Maurice "Smoke" Jones enter the TP.  I get Jones going being being Payne and Turner but Holler transferred in and was a starter.  Strange......sure they won't the last to enter.

The current atmosphere assures several transfers every year.  I hope we can limit our loses and pick up enough to have a net gain.  Curious to see who else leaves.  Who knows how much nil money there is out there.

i'm curious only because our OL sucked most of the time this year- if Holler transferred in, does that mean he has to sit out a year whereever he goes or does he get another freebie for some reason?  i understand leaving for money, it's just the way it is.

we're rarely going to get ready-to-go HS/underclassmen OL, so i'm hoping the new offensive coaching staff are better in most, if not all categories

Well, he transferred in from ECU where he was dismissed from the team. Who knows why players enter the portal. It is part of the new era of college sports.

In theory but those rules seem  fluid.  Could be a grad transfer?

Not terribly disappointed to see any offensive linemen hit the portal.  After two consecutive seasons of subpar offensive line play, something needs to change.  Finding a new OL coach is a good start, however, the OL coach didn't play a single down either season, more is needed.

He's going in the portal as a grad transfer, so he doesn't have to sit out.

His tweet said he is going into the portal as a grad transfer (with one year of eligibility left) for him to qualify he has to have finished his undergraduate degree.
