And so why didn't you return to Huntington after Richmaod? Apparently you don't think much of Huntington either.

Anecdotally, in the 6+ years since we returned, both of us have had most of our doctors leave for other locations. That speaks volumes.

I don't hate Huntington, but Huntington itself is not a particularly desirable place to move to. If it was, then the population would be growing, not shrinking.

Huntington population is moving out of Huntington into other parts of Cabell County. The poplulation of Cabell County has remained close to the same since 1990.

About Doege, he may have experience with a good passing scheme offense, but the offense we run is Huff's offense.  Trickett said on more than one occasion that the offensive scheme is Huff's scheme and not Trickett's preferred offense.  Will Huff trust his paycheck to Doege and let Doege install the offense he wants to run based on our personnel? 

Doege better bring some offensive skill players with him and hope the new OL coach brings some linemen.

I think Huff will open up the offense. He knows his job is on the line so I?ll be shocked if he handcuffs Doege.

I hope you are right.  If Doege wants to open up the offense then he is going to need personnel.  In addition to linemen he is going to need fast WRs that can run good routes and catch.  Especially a #1 WR to stretch the field.  He is also going to need a QB that can hit the WRs consistently. 

Huff has some major work to do on the recruiting trail.

I doubt there is a single veteran on here from the world of professionals when it comes to college football coaching.  Perhaps I'm wrong and someone will tell us where he coached for 20 years. 

Get back to me when we have an actual head coach with 20 years of head coaching experience.

Regardless whether the offense is opened up or not, better personnel is needed.

Agree. Admit that I am skeptical due to no OC experience but I hope he kills it and helps turn us around.

Their is a QB from Texas Tech in the portal, Doege and Huff may target that guy.

He was with Kansas state since 2016, was co-offensive coordinator in 2018.
When Snyder left, he went back to QB coach.
He was give the chance as OC by himself in 2022.

Nothing like our situation.

Fair enough, but enlighten me, what does a co-offensive coordinator do that would make it nothing like our situation?  That's really the only difference in their resumes.  Really just pointing out to the FCS or bust crowd that not everyone starts there.

Well our new guy has only been responsible for his group, and them improving.

A coordinator has to prep for everyone on offense, plan for schemes they are facing for defenses, come up designs, scripts, sets, etc. for the different units to use and be successful at. They are also responsible for the flow of the unit during the games.
Usually when it is a co-of these things are split up.

It's a lot different in planning for everything for personnel and units than just participating and getting tasks done.

We are hoping our new guy has been in enough meetings that he can do all the things needed, but he doesn't have experience to show he is capable, just hopeful "potential".

We are do some luck on the offensive side of the ball.  Hoping this is the magic bullet. 

Everyone wanted a new exciting HC that had personality(Got it)

Wanted clean culture after multiple internal roster issues(Got it)

Wanted Bill Legg gone( Got it)

Wanted new OC (Got it)

Most Wanted new QB (Got it)

Wanted exciting offense and a championship(Well...were waiting).

May be a major bust of a season, but who knows in this new landscape of college football.

Cabell County was long the second most populated county in the State.  It is now 4th and will continue to fall, as its population is, if not stagnant or falling, certainly having MINISCULE growth, if any!  In any event, it is certainly NOT where MU can expect to grow a greater fan base going forward in the next decade or so!  Just "ain't" happening!!

Doege's resume doesn't include previously being an OC, play caller or QB coach.
It's curious that Coach Culture would pin his hopes on someone seemingly without the requisite experience.
